Broad outline of the Role

• The role is responsible for cloud services software development involving development, production rollouts and lifecycle management.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• Graduation in Engineering or equivalent practical experience
• 4 Years experience in software development
• Proficiency with Go (Golang)
• Experience with writing Kubernetes operators/controllers
• Experience with cloud-native observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Cortex, VictoriaMetrics
• Experience with IAM solutions through tools like Keycloak

Other Knowledge & Skills

• Experience with OTEL will be preferred
• Experience with kubernetes-sigs/cluster-api will be preferred
• Experience with DBs or Caching Services or Messaging Queues or Serverless Services will be preferred
• Experience with cloud-native eBPF tools will be preferred.
• Basic Proficiency with Rust and Python.
• Experience with AI tooling and a genuine enthusiasm for applying it to complex problems
• Enthusiasm to work closely with the Product team and customers to launch new features
• Strong communication skills, proficiency in English, ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and seek help proactively when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Own features end-to-end. From design through implementation, rollout, and iteration in close partnership with Product and our Experience (front-end) team.
• Navigate ambiguous problems and find a clear path forward. You take initiative rather than waiting for complete specs.
• Extend Kubernetes using CRDs and Operators/Controller with industry standard API Contracts, scalability and observability
• Work closely with Vayu Cloud's Kubernetes-as-a-service
• Work closely with Vayu Cloud's Devops Suite involving Container Registry, CICD Services, Secret Manager, KMS, Functions.
• Work closely with Cloud Networking, Storage and virtualization layer like Openstack
