Job Description

• Amrita School of Artificial Intelligence invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position in the interdisciplinary area of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Power & Energy Systems, under the supervision of Dr. Rahul Satheesh.
• This position is part of the school’s thrust area group “AI Innovations in Power, Energy, and Electric Vehicles”, with a strong emphasis on leveraging data-driven technologies to enhance the resilience, efficiency, and intelligence of future energy infrastructures.
• We are particularly looking for candidates who are passionate about integrating machine learning techniques with challenges in power systems, renewable energy, smart grids, and electric mobility.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct independent and collaborative research on:
• Intelligent energy system control and forecasting
• Data-driven energy system optimization and predictive maintenance
• Grid restoration and resilience under uncertainty
• Detection and mitigation of anomalies or cyber-physical threats
• Develop and validate simulations and prototypes using AI/ML frameworks
• Publish in leading journals and conferences in AI, power systems, and smart energy
• Contribute to grant proposals and assist in mentoring MTech/PhD students
