Role Summary:

We are looking for a strong Full Stack Python Engineer with hands-on experience across the end-to-end application lifecycle — development, integration, deployment and production operations.

The ideal candidate should be more than a developer who writes Python code. The candidate should be able to deploy and operate the applications they build, understand how applications integrate with other systems, troubleshoot production issues, and establish effective monitoring and observability using APM, logging and monitoring tools.

The candidate should have hands-on experience with GitHub, Kubernetes and Docker, with a good understanding of cloud/container platforms and application deployment.

We are seeking a well-rounded Python Engineer with strong expertise in production engineering, system integrations, and observability. This role is not aligned with profiles focused exclusively on Python development, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or integration engineering. The ideal candidate will bring a balanced mix of software development, operational excellence, and production support experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Python Development

• Design, develop and maintain scalable Python-based applications and services.
• Develop solutions for ERP, infrastructure and enterprise application environments.
• Write clean, maintainable and production-ready Python code.
• Develop APIs, integrations and supporting utilities as required.
• Identify opportunities to improve application reliability, performance and maintainability.2. Application Integration
• Develop and troubleshoot integrations between applications and enterprise systems.
• Demonstrate strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON/XML and API-based communication.
• Understand end-to-end application flows, dependencies and integration points.
• Troubleshoot integration failures across application, API and infrastructure layers.
• Work with application and platform teams to ensure reliable end-to-end system operation.3. Deployment & DevOps
• Independently take applications from development through deployment and production.
• Use GitHub/Git-based workflows for source code management and deployment processes.
• Deploy and operate workloads on Kubernetes and Docker/container platforms.
• Understand Kubernetes deployment concepts including pods, deployments, services, configurations, secrets and basic troubleshooting.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines and cloud/container platforms to support reliable application releases.

4. Production Operations & Troubleshooting

• Understand how the application behaves in a production environment.
• Troubleshoot application, integration and deployment issues across the technology stack.
• Analyze logs, metrics and application behavior to identify production issues.
• Participate in incident management and drive technical root-cause analysis.
• Identify recurring issues and opportunities to improve application reliability and reduce operational effort.

5. Observability & APM

• Understand how applications should be monitored in production.
• Implement or support application monitoring using APM, logging, metrics and observability tools.
• Understand application health indicators such as availability, latency, error rates, throughput and resource utilization.
• Instrument applications with appropriate logging, metrics and telemetry during development.
• Build or configure dashboards and alerts to provide production visibility.
• Use observability data to troubleshoot issues and support RCA.6. Platform / Search Technology
• Support and troubleshoot OpenSearch / Elasticsearch environments where applicable.
• Understand application-to-platform dependencies and basic operational considerations for search/logging platforms.

Required Skills

Must Have

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with strong hands-on Python development.
• Strong understanding of application development and production engineering.
• Hands-on experience taking applications from development → deployment → production support.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and application integrations.
• Hands-on experience with Git/GitHub.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Strong understanding of application production monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Exposure to APM / observability / logging / monitoring tools.
• Strong problem-solving and RCA capabilities.Strongly Preferred
• Experience deploying Python applications to Kubernetes using IaC.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Experience with application instrumentation, telemetry and observability.
• Experience with tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Datadog, New Relic, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk or similar.
• Experience automating operational activities using Python.
• Experience with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch.
