Head of Data Analytics (Kolkata)

SRMB Srijan Private Limited is looking for a dynamic Head of Data Analytics to lead project

intelligence and sales analytics exclusively for our Government and Institutional Project

Sales vertical in Kolkata.

Reporting Structure: This position reports directly and exclusively to the VP - Institutional

Sales.

In this role, you will bridge the gap between big data and enterprise sales, governing our

project intelligence register, optimizing lead scoring models, and providing direct visibility

to our executive leadership.

Core Technical Responsibilities

Data Retrieval: Architect automated API connectors, web-scraping workflows, and

ingestion pipelines to unify paid portal bulk downloads (CSV, Excel, PDF dumps) and

custom EPC/consultant web feeds into a deduplicated Project Intelligence Register with

a strict 24-hour validation SLA.

Comprehending: Execute entity-resolution, automated relevance classification by

sector/lifecycle, and structural validation to isolate addressable steel and building

material demand from total project costs.

Action: Engineer transparent, stochastic lead-merit algorithms and graph-linkage controls

mapping authority approvals, site source approvals, and plant capacities to qualified

sales opportunities.

Distribution: Programmatically deploy multidimensional Power BI/Tableau data models,

approval gap matrices, and automated opportunity assignments across the project sales

vertical.

Feedback: Operationalize closed-loop sales tracking, win-loss cohort analyses, and real-

time financial reconciliation dashboards to present conversion insights and metric-

driven decisions directly to the VP - Institutional Sales.

What We Are Looking For

Education: Master’s degree or equivalent in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics,

Information Management, or a related field (technical graduate qualifications with

relevant postgraduate analytics credentials are also welcome).

Experience: 8+ or more years in sales or business analytics, with at least 3 years leading

analysts or data operations.

Industry Expertise: Direct experience in the steel or building materials industry and

government or institutional project sales analytics is mandatory.

Technical Stack: Hands-on proficiency in advanced Excel and SQL, along with Power BI or

Tableau and Python or R for data preparation and analysis.

Location: Based in Kolkata (Full-time role with authorized project and authority visits as required).
