Back End Developer

AjnaLens is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Engineering team at Thane (Maharashtra – India).

We are looking for a strong backend professional with 5+ years of experience who can independently design, develop, and own scalable backend systems. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in backend architecture, APIs, databases, cloud deployment, and system integration.

This is a full-time role, focused on building reliable backend systems and working closely with Product, Frontend, Application, and AI/ML teams.

Top 3 Daily Tasks:

• Design and develop scalable backend services, APIs, and core product functionality.
• Own backend architecture, databases, integrations, performance, and security.
• Collaborate with Product, Frontend, and AI/ML teams to build and integrate end-to-end solutions.

Minimum Work Experience / Education Required:

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field.
• Experience owning backend architecture or major product components.

Top 5 Skills You Should Possess:

• Strong backend development using Python, Node.js, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, PostgreSQL/MySQL, and database design.
• Experience with Docker, cloud platforms, and CI/CD.
• Understanding of system design, asynchronous processing, WebSockets, and message queues.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, security, and performance optimization skills.

What You’ll Be Expected to Do:

• Design and develop scalable, maintainable backend systems and APIs.
• Design databases, data models, authentication, authorization, and security mechanisms.
• Integrate third-party services, AI/ML services, and LLM APIs.
• Manage cloud deployment, monitoring, and production issues.
• Conduct code reviews, testing, documentation, and technical planning.
• Work closely with Product, Frontend, Application, and AI/ML teams.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with SaaS/enterprise applications.
• Experience with AI/ML, Computer Vision, or LLM integrations.
• Experience with IoT, real-time, or device-connected applications.
• Experience building products from the ground up.
