About the Role:
We are looking for a Senior ServiceNow Developer to join our ServiceNow Centre of Excellence. This role replaces a traditional architect position with a hands-on technical leader who combines deep platform development expertise with modern engineering practices, AI-assisted development, and a strong grasp of enterprise business processes.
You will design and build scalable solutions across the ServiceNow platform, stay close to the code, mentor the team, and set the standard for technical excellence. This is not a pure architecture role. We want a builder and innovator who is excited about the latest ServiceNow capabilities and AI-enabled tooling.
Key Skills (Core Focus Areas)
- App Engine: App Engine Studio, scoped applications, UI Builder, Workspace development, enterprise-scale custom apps
- CMDB: CMDB design and solution delivery, Discovery, Service Mapping, data quality and governance (delivery-focused, not administration only)
- CSDM: Practical implementation and alignment of the Common Service Data Model across ITSM, ITOM and SPM
- AI: Now Assist, Generative AI, Agentic AI, and AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot)
Key Responsibilities
Platform Development & Technical Leadership
- Design, develop and implement enterprise-grade solutions on the ServiceNow platform
- Lead technical design and development of complex applications and workflows
- Provide hands-on development across ITSM, SPM, IRM/GRC, HRSD, Employee Center, App Engine, Integration Hub, Service Catalog, CMDB and custom applications
- Drive platform modernization and adoption of new ServiceNow capabilities
- Take part in code reviews, technical design reviews and solution discussions
- Establish and promote development standards aligned with ServiceNow best practices
- Act as the senior technical escalation point for complex platform challengesAI & Modern Engineering
- Champion AI-assisted development to improve productivity and solution quality
- Apply ServiceNow AI, Generative AI, Now Assist and Agentic AI capabilities where they add value
- Accelerate delivery through reusable components, automation and low-code approaches
- Drive adoption of source control, automated testing, CI/CD and DevSecOps
- Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation and continuous improvementDelivery & Solution Quality
- Convert business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Ensure solutions meet platform best practices, governance and maintainability standards
- Optimize performance, usability and user experience
- Build integrations with enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs, Integration Hub, middleware and cloud technologies
- Support DevOps, release management and platform upgrades
- Actively manage and reduce technical debtCollaboration & Mentoring
- Partner with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Process Owners, Enterprise Architects and Platform Teams
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers
- Support backlog refinement, solution design workshops and technical estimation
- Contribute to platform governance and help shape the technical roadmap
Required Experience
- 7+ years of ServiceNow development experience
- Proven delivery on recent ServiceNow releases across multiple modules and business domains
- Strong command of server-side scripting, Client Scripts, Business Rules, Script Includes, Flow Designer, Integration Hub, Employee Center, REST/SOAP integrations, scoped applications, App Engine Studio, UI Builder and Workspace development
- Solid knowledge of CMDB, CSDM, Service Operations and platform architecture principles
- Experience designing and implementing enterprise integrations
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments
- Experience with platform upgrades and adopting new ServiceNow capabilities

- Experience on Yokohama, Xanadu or newer releases
