Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site Software Engineer role based in the Greater Kolkata Area. The Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs that power GrainWise AI’s agritech platform, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance. Responsibilities include writing clean and efficient code, implementing object-oriented designs, integrating AI and data-processing components, and collaborating with data scientists and product teams. The role involves participating in code reviews, troubleshooting production issues, improving system architecture, and contributing to technical documentation and best practices.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software architecture.
• Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience in at least one modern language (e.g., Python, Java, C#, or similar).
• Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, microservices, and database integration.
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site in the Greater Kolkata Area and collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Interest in agritech, AI-driven solutions, and building technology that supports sustainable and efficient agriculture.
