Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications and platform solutions using modern frontend and backend technologies.
• Build responsive user interfaces using React, Angular, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Develop backend services, RESTful APIs, and GraphQL APIs using Node.js, Express, and related technologies.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases, including MySQL and MongoDB, to design efficient data models and optimise application performance.
• Integrate third-party services, APIs, and external platforms to enhance product functionality and interoperability.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of digital learning, assessment, reporting, and other platform capabilities.
• Identify performance bottlenecks, troubleshoot production issues, and implement solutions to improve application reliability and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and adherence to coding standards and software development best practices.
• Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, QA teams, and fellow developers to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Use version control, CI/CD pipelines, and containerisation tools to support efficient development and deployment.
• Explore and contribute to AI-enabled applications and intelligent platform capabilities, including LLM integrations, where applicable.
• Follow Agile/Scrum methodologies and contribute to continuous improvement in development processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and full-stack web application development.
• Hands-on experience with Node.js, Express.js, and frontend frameworks such as React or Angular.
• Experience in developing and integrating RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Working knowledge of MongoDB, MySQL, and database optimisation.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.
• Understanding of application architecture, debugging, performance optimisation, and secure coding practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in developing enterprise-grade web applications, assessment platforms, or SaaS products.
• Exposure to Python, FastAPI, AI/LLM application development, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and semantic search.
• Familiarity with OpenCV or other computer vision technologies.
• Experience working in Agile development environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
