About Gentle Money
Gentle Money is an AI-powered investment platform built for retail and HNI investors. You'll be working on a live product used by real investors every day — not a case study. The platform features AI-curated news with portfolio impact analysis, a multi-asset discovery engine covering Equities, Mutual Funds, Commodities, and Currencies, and a portfolio tracking suite for Stocks, Mutual Funds, Fixed Deposits, and ETFs.
About the Role
We are looking for a Finance/Commerce student or recent graduate to join our Research & Advisory team as a Finance & Research Intern.
You will work closely with our news review and research operations team and get hands-on exposure to how financial information is researched, reviewed and prepared for a live AI-powered fintech platform.
This is a hands-on learning role where you will work on real tasks from the beginning, including reviewing AI-generated financial content, fact-checking information, supporting market research and working with financial data.
You will initially work under close guidance and gradually take on more responsibility as you become familiar with our processes.
What You'll Be Doing
News Review (with guidance)
- Read AI-generated financial news drafts and flag anything factually off, oddly worded, or irrelevant
- Help tighten up summaries so they're clear and accurate
- Check that impact lines and impact scores make sense given the news
- Look over image prompts for each story and suggest fixes if something feels off-brand or inaccurate
- Keep a simple log of errors and corrections you spot, so we can track patterns over time
- Help compile newsletters and news-related content for internal and external distribution
Research Support
- Help pull data from public sources, BSE/NSE filings, and databases like Screener and Money control as needed
- Clean up and organise data in Excel/Sheets so it's usable
- Assist with updating trackers and internal sheets
- Support sourcing of zone/city level data that feeds into the app as local market insights
Who We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing (or recently completed) a degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Genuinely interested in markets, business news, and how financial platforms work — you don't need prior work experience, but you should already be someone who reads financial news
- Comfortable with Excel/Google Sheets (formulas, basic data cleanup — doesn't need to be advanced)
- Familiar with or willing to explore financial data sources such as BSE/NSE portals, Screener, Moneycontrol, and similar platforms
- Detail-oriented — someone who notices when a number looks wrong or a sentence doesn't quite make sense
- Comfortable working alongside AI tools — you'll be interacting with AI-generated content daily and developing a sharp eye for where it gets things right and where it doesn't
- Reliable, and able to commit to a consistent weekly schedule
What You'll Gain
- Hands-on exposure to how a live AI-powered fintech platform curates, reviews, and publishes financial content for real investors
- A sharp eye for financial content quality — you'll develop the ability to spot factual errors, weak summaries, and misleading impact framing
- Practical experience working with market data sources like BSE/NSE filings, Screener, Moneycontrol, and similar platforms
- Familiarity with AI-generated content workflows and where human judgement still matters
- A research and data skill set — Excel/Sheets data cleaning, tracker management, structured logging — that carries into any finance or fintech role
- Direct exposure to a fintech product in active use, not a simulation or case study
