Role Description

We are looking for a (Java) Backend Engineer for a full-time, on-site opportunity based in Morena, Madhya Pradesh, India.

The role is suitable for fresh graduates and technology professionals interested in Java backend development, API engineering, databases, microservices, cloud technologies, distributed systems, enterprise applications, automation, and scalable software solutions.

The (Java) Backend Engineer will collaborate with software, IT, data, analytics, operations, production, supply chain, finance, sales, and other business teams to build, test, integrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance Java-based backend applications, APIs, databases, enterprise platforms, internal systems, automation tools, and digital services.

Depending on project requirements, the role may involve Core Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, REST APIs, SQL and NoSQL databases, microservices, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, cloud platforms, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, automated testing, CI/CD, and other modern backend technologies.

Qualifications

  • B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc. / BCA / MCA / M.Sc. / M.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Applications, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.
  • Fresh graduates and experienced candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Candidates with 0–5 years of experience in Java backend development, backend engineering, software development, application development, API development, enterprise software, or related technology roles can apply.
  • Candidates currently working as (Java) Backend Engineer, Java Backend Engineer, Backend Engineer Java, Backend Engineer (Java), Backend Engineer - Java, Java Backend Developer, Backend Developer Java, Backend Software Engineer, Java Software Engineer, Software Engineer Java, Spring Boot Developer, API Developer, Associate Backend Engineer, Junior Backend Engineer, Graduate Software Engineer, or similar roles are encouraged to apply.
  • Candidates from IT services, SaaS, product companies, technology, consulting, e-commerce, fintech, telecom, analytics, manufacturing, logistics, FMCG, or other industries are welcome.
  • Basic to good knowledge of Core Java and object-oriented programming concepts.
  • Understanding of classes, objects, inheritance, polymorphism, abstraction, interfaces, collections, exception handling, multithreading, concurrency, data structures, algorithms, and clean coding practices.
  • Familiarity with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, or similar Java backend frameworks will be beneficial.
  • Basic to good understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP/HTTPS, web services, authentication, authorization, API design, API integration, and system integration.
  • Familiarity with SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, Redis, or similar relational and NoSQL databases will be beneficial.
  • Understanding of database design, normalization, joins, indexing, transactions, schemas, CRUD operations, queries, query optimization, and backend data-access concepts will be advantageous.
  • Exposure to microservices architecture, distributed systems, service-oriented architecture, scalable backend services, high-availability applications, or event-driven systems will be beneficial but is not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with Maven, Gradle, Git, GitHub, version control, branching, pull requests, debugging, code reviews, and collaborative software-development workflows.
  • Exposure to JUnit, Mockito, TestNG, Postman, unit testing, API testing, integration testing, or automated testing will be beneficial.
  • Exposure to Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, caching, message queues, asynchronous processing, background jobs, scheduled tasks, or event-driven architecture will be considered an advantage.
  • Exposure to AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CI/CD, or similar cloud and DevOps technologies will be beneficial.
  • Basic understanding of Linux, command-line tools, application deployment, configuration, logging, monitoring, troubleshooting, and production-support concepts will be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with OAuth, JWT, role-based access control, secure coding, API security, authentication, authorization, encryption, and input-validation concepts will be beneficial.
  • Exposure to performance optimization, database tuning, connection pooling, caching strategies, scalability, reliability, observability, and backend performance troubleshooting will be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with ORM technologies, repositories, persistence layers, entity relationships, transaction management, and backend data-access patterns will be beneficial.
  • Exposure to frontend technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, Vue.js, or Next.js will be beneficial but is not mandatory.
  • Exposure to automation, data engineering, analytics, AI/ML, generative AI, ERP, CRM, dashboards, reporting systems, or enterprise applications will be considered an additional advantage.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Jira, SDLC, requirements gathering, user stories, technical documentation, sprint planning, or issue tracking will be advantageous but is not mandatory.
  • Good analytical, logical, debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication, documentation, collaboration, and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to understand business and technical requirements and translate them into practical, scalable, maintainable, reliable, and secure Java backend solutions.
  • Willingness to work in an on-site environment.
  • Internship, academic project, Java project, Spring Boot project, backend project, API project, database project, microservices project, GitHub project, hackathon, freelance assignment, startup project, or open-source contribution will be considered but is not mandatory.
  • Candidates without previous full-time Java backend experience can also apply.
  • Strong willingness to learn new Java technologies, backend frameworks, APIs, databases, cloud platforms, testing tools, and modern software-engineering practices.
