We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Backend Developer to join our Product Engineering Team and contribute to the development of reliable, scalable, and production-quality software products.

Syncllusion Technologies Private Limited is a technology company focused on building digital products, enterprise applications, scalable platforms, AI-powered solutions, automation systems, and modern software products. The selected candidate will work across multiple current and future products depending on business priorities.

This is a product engineering role rather than a position dedicated to one application or one business domain. The developer may contribute to ERP platforms, Learning Management Systems (LMS), business applications, enterprise systems, customer-facing SaaS products, internal platforms, and new products developed by the company.

The role requires strong backend engineering fundamentals, problem-solving ability, understanding of databases and APIs, attention to security and data integrity, and the ability to translate business requirements into reliable technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications using Node.js and TypeScript.
Design, develop, and maintain secure, reliable, and scalable REST APIs.
Understand business requirements and translate them into appropriate backend architecture, database structures, APIs, and workflows.
Implement business logic, validations, workflows, application rules, and backend processes.
Design, implement, and maintain relational database structures.
Work with Sequelize or other ORM technologies and write efficient SQL queries.
Work with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar relational database systems.
Implement authentication, authorization, roles, permissions, and backend access-control mechanisms.
Develop and maintain multi-user and multi-tenant application functionality where required.
Develop data-processing, data-import, bulk-operation, and large-data handling functionality where required.
Build and maintain background jobs and asynchronous processing where required.
Implement audit trails, history tracking, logging, and system-level activity tracking where required.
Integrate third-party services, external APIs, and other technology platforms.
Write unit tests, integration tests, API-level tests, and other appropriate automated tests.
Investigate bugs, troubleshoot application and production issues, identify root causes, and implement reliable fixes.
Optimize database queries, APIs, backend processes, and overall application performance.
Ensure proper API validation, error handling, security, data integrity, and maintainable backend code.
Work closely with frontend developers, product team members, and technical team members to deliver complete features.
Participate in technical discussions, solution design, code reviews, implementation planning, and architectural decisions.
Take ownership of assigned backend modules and deliver them from requirement understanding through development, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.
Contribute to multiple products and projects as company priorities evolve.
Maintain proper Git workflows and participate in collaborative source-code management.
Continuously improve existing backend systems, development processes, code quality, reliability, and performance.

Qualifications & Experience

2–5 years of relevant experience in backend development or software engineering.
Strong hands-on experience with Node.js.
Strong knowledge of TypeScript and JavaScript.
Experience developing REST APIs using Express.js or a similar backend framework.
Good understanding of SQL and relational database concepts.
Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or a similar relational database.
Experience with Sequelize or another ORM.
Good understanding of database relationships, constraints, indexing, transactions, and data integrity.
Understanding of authentication, authorization, RBAC, and backend access control.
Experience with Git and collaborative source-code management.
Good understanding of API validation, error handling, backend security, and maintainable code.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into practical technical solutions.
Ability to work independently while communicating clearly with the technical and product team.
Strong sense of ownership and responsibility for assigned work.
Good understanding of software development lifecycle and production application development.

Good to Have

Experience building SaaS or multi-tenant applications.
Experience with background jobs, queues, or asynchronous processing.
Experience with Redis.
Experience with Docker and cloud platforms.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with payment gateways or third-party service integrations.
Experience handling large data imports or bulk processing.
Experience building reporting or analytics APIs.
Experience implementing audit logging and activity/history systems.
Experience with backend performance optimization.
Experience working on ERP, LMS, SaaS, business management, enterprise, or similar software products.

Location: Pune, Maharashtra
Work Mode: Work From Office
Experience: 2–5 Years
Employment: Initial 3-month engagement; continuation may be considered based on performance and business requirements.
This is an office-based position. The selected candidate is expected to work from the Syncllusion office in Pune.
