Position: Senior Developer

We are looking for an experienced Senior .NET Developer to join its Indirect Tax Global Trade Technology team, responsible for developing, modernizing, and integrating technology solutions that support Global Trade operations and client engagements.

The role involves modernizing existing ASP.NET Web Forms applications to ASP.NET Core, enhancing application security, optimizing database performance, and developing scalable, responsive web applications.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in C#, ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core, SQL Server, Web API development, and modern frontend technologies. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, high-performance, and scalable enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze existing ASP.NET Web Forms applications and identify opportunities for modernization, performance improvement, UI enhancement, and security optimization.
  • Migrate legacy ASP.NET Web Forms applications to ASP.NET Core while ensuring seamless functionality and minimal disruption.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using C#, ASP.NET Core, and MVC.
  • Implement RESTful Web APIs to decouple frontend applications from backend data access layers.
  • Develop responsive and user-friendly interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and modern frontend frameworks.
  • Work with Angular, React, or Bootstrap to enhance application usability and responsiveness.
  • Optimize SQL Server queries, database structures, and data access patterns to support large datasets.
  • Implement performance optimization techniques, including caching strategies, asynchronous programming, and batch processing.
  • Apply data virtualization techniques to efficiently manage and process large volumes of data.
  • Implement application security measures, including secure authentication, authorization, and data encryption.
  • Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Monitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement continuous improvements.
  • Estimate technical effort, prepare work breakdown structures, identify project risks, and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Collaborate with architects, business analysts, QA teams, and other technical stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver quality solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and Agile development activities.Technical Skills & Requirements

1. Languages & Frameworks

  • Strong proficiency in C# and .NET development.
  • Hands-on experience with ASP.NET Web Forms.
  • Experience with ASP.NET Core and MVC.
  • Knowledge of modern frontend frameworks such as Angular, React, and Bootstrap.2. Database Technologies
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Expertise in SQL query optimization and database performance tuning.
  • Experience with Entity Framework or other ORM frameworks.
  • Understanding of efficient data access patterns and large-volume data processing.3. Web Technologies
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
  • Hands-on experience with AJAX and partial page updates.
  • Experience developing and integrating RESTful Web APIs.
  • Understanding of responsive web design and modern UI development practices.4. Performance Optimization & Security
  • Experience implementing caching strategies such as Redis and in-memory caching.
  • Knowledge of asynchronous programming and application performance optimization.
  • Experience with data virtualization and batch processing.
  • Strong understanding of web application security, authentication, authorization, and data encryption.
  • Ability to identify and address application vulnerabilities and security risks.5. Development Practices & Tools
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with Git version control.
  • Understanding of code quality standards, debugging, and software development best practices.6. CI/CD & Cloud – Good to Have
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Azure cloud services.
  • Understanding of cloud deployment strategies and application hosting.Required Experience & Qualifications
  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in .NET application development.
  • Strong hands-on experience with C#, ASP.NET Web Forms, and ASP.NET Core.
  • Experience in migrating legacy applications to modern .NET frameworks.
  • Strong expertise in SQL Server and database performance optimization.
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs and integrating frontend applications.
  • Exposure to Angular, React, or other modern frontend technologies.
  • Understanding of application security and performance optimization.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and collaborate effectively with distributed teams.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.Good to Have
  • Previous experience in the Global Trade, Indirect Tax, or Tax Technology domain.
  • Experience working on enterprise application modernization projects.
  • Exposure to Azure Cloud and Azure DevOps.
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications such as:
  • MCSD: App Builder
  • MCSA: Web Applications
  • MCSA: SQL 2016 Database DevelopmentEducation
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Equivalent relevant professional experience may be considered.
  • Master's degree preferred.Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a hands-on Senior .NET Developer with strong experience in legacy application modernization, ASP.NET Core development, SQL Server optimization, and secure enterprise application development.

Candidates with experience in migrating ASP.NET Web Forms applications to ASP.NET Core, developing scalable Web APIs, and working with modern frontend technologies will be preferred. Exposure to Global Trade or Indirect Tax technology solutions will be an added advantage.
