Technical Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of complex technology projects.
  • Define project scope, objectives, milestones, timelines, dependencies, resources, and success criteria.
  • Manage project budgets, resource utilization, cost tracking, and financial forecasts.
  • Coordinate multiple technical workstreams and cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Partner with Architects, Engineering Managers, Product Managers, Product Owners, QA, DevOps, Security, and Infrastructure teams.
  • Drive Agile/Scrum delivery practices, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog discussions.
  • Coordinate and facilitate PI Planning in scaled Agile/SAFe environments.
  • Track project progress using Agile metrics such as velocity, burn-down/burn-up, cycle time, and throughput.
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, resource constraints, and scope changes.
  • Maintain project plans, RAID logs, dashboards, status reports, and governance documentation.
  • Use JIRA and Confluence for project tracking, reporting, documentation, and collaboration.
  • Manage technical dependencies across APIs, microservices, cloud infrastructure, integrations, and applications.
  • Work closely with engineering and architecture teams on technical design, feasibility, dependencies, and delivery risks.
  • Coordinate cloud-based projects involving AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
  • Ensure effective communication with senior leadership and provide regular project health/status updates.
  • Drive stakeholder alignment, expectation management, escalation handling, and decision-making.
  • Support production readiness, deployment planning, go-live activities, and post-production stabilization.
  • Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives, root-cause analysis, and Agile best practices.
  • Ensure projects follow required quality, security, compliance, and governance standards.

Technical Knowledge

  • Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Understanding of CI/CD, DevOps, testing, deployment, and production processes.
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Git/GitHub/Bitbucket, and collaboration tools.
  • Understanding of project planning, scheduling, resource management, risk management, and change control.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid Agile methodologies.
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, PSM, SAFe Agilist, or similar certification.
  • Experience managing cloud migration, digital transformation, platform modernization, or enterprise technology projects.
  • Exposure to financial services, banking, investments, insurance, or other regulated industries.
  • Experience working with product-led organizations and engineering teams.
  • Technical/engineering background is an added advantage.
