Associate, Investment Performance

About the Role

This is an opportunity to join AssetMark’s Global Capability Center (GCC) in Hyderabad and build expertise in investment performance. As Associate, Investment Performance, you’ll help deliver accurate, timely investment performance across the firm’s two platforms, working closely with U.S.-based Investment Performance Analysts.

You’ll run daily, monthly and quarterly production workflows, validate performance data and investigate exceptions within established controls. You’ll also improve procedures and documentation and contribute to automation. Platform-level oversight and material decisions stay with the U.S. analysts.

What You’ll Do

• Run daily, monthly and quarterly performance production, including audits, reconciliations, composite processing, benchmark updates and reporting validations.
• Validate returns and data across accounts, sleeves, households, strategies, composites and benchmarks, and research routine exceptions.
• Document findings, corrective actions and control evidence, and escalate complex or material discrepancies to the analysts in a timely manner.
• Monitor production schedules and quality checkpoints, and communicate delivery status and risks.
• Create and maintain SOPs, control checklists and knowledge-transfer materials, and recommend changes that reduce manual effort and strengthen controls.
• Support testing and implementation of process enhancements, automation and platform changes, and collaborate with the U.S. team on production issues and transitions.

What You Bring

• 5–8 years in investment operations, performance reporting, reconciliation or financial data analysis.
• Understanding of performance reporting cycles, basic return concepts and composite and benchmark processes.
• Strong Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables and analysis of large datasets.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving, with the ability to investigate issues and document findings clearly.
• Ability to manage assigned production tasks independently, prioritize deadlines and escalate issues appropriately.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with U.S.-based colleagues.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to performance calculations, composites, benchmarks or performance reporting platforms.
• Experience with investment accounting, portfolio management or transaction-level data systems.
• Exposure to SQL, VBA, Power Query, Snowflake or other analysis and automation tools.
• Experience with process transitions, user acceptance testing or operational improvement projects.
• Progress toward CIPM or another relevant certification.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related field (required).
