Role Description The Lead New Product Development & Program Management role is a full-time, on-site position based in Pune District. This role is responsible for driving end-to-end new product development initiatives, from concept and feasibility through design, validation, and launch. Daily activities include coordinating cross-functional teams, defining project scope and timelines, monitoring progress, and managing risks and resources to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets. The individual will liaise with customers and internal stakeholders to capture requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and ensure alignment with business objectives. Responsibilities also include preparing project documentation, status reports, and presentations, supporting continuous improvement in development processes, and mentoring team members in best practices for program management and product development.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Product Development and Research and Development (R&D) skills, including experience with concept design, validation, and industrialization of new products.
  • Candidates should possess solid Project Management and Analytical Skills to plan, schedule, track milestones, manage risks, and interpret data for decision-making.
  • Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams, engaging with customers, and presenting project updates to leadership.
  • Candidates should possess familiarity with engineering or technical domains relevant to thermal systems, automotive components, or manufacturing processes.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Automotive, Thermal, or related field) or an equivalent technical discipline is preferred.
  • Experience leading cross-functional development projects, ideally within automotive or allied industries, and working with quality and compliance standards (such as APQP, PPAP, ISO/TS) is beneficial.
  • Ability to use project management tools, basic CAD or design review tools, and standard office software to manage documentation and reporting is an advantage.
