Role Description The Senior Software Development Engineer Backend will design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs that support core product functionality. This full-time, on-site role in Bengaluru South involves architecting robust solutions, writing high-quality, testable code, and optimizing system performance and reliability. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, reviewing code, guiding implementation choices, and troubleshooting complex issues in production systems. The person in this role will contribute to technical roadmaps, improve development processes, and mentor other engineers on best practices. They will also help ensure security, maintainability, and observability are built into backend services from the outset.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in one or more backend programming languages (such as Java, C#, Go, Python, or Node.js) and experience with modern frameworks.
• Solid understanding of backend architecture, including microservices, RESTful APIs, and event-driven systems, with experience designing scalable solutions.
• Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases, data modeling, query optimization, and transaction handling.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and infrastructure (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP), including deployment, monitoring, and cost-conscious design.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, version control systems, and modern DevOps practices.
• Strong skills in debugging, performance tuning, and resolving production issues in distributed systems.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with product, frontend, QA, and operations teams, and to provide technical guidance and mentorship.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in high-traffic, mission-critical systems and a focus on security, reliability, and maintainability is highly beneficial.
