Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Data Engineer / Data Analyst with up to 2 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, and reporting. The ideal candidate should have hands-on exposure to Databricks, SQL, data transformation, and visualization tools. The role involves working with business stakeholders to build scalable data pipelines, generate insights, and support data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Data Engineering
- Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks.
- Extract, transform, and load data from multiple structured and unstructured data sources.
- Support data integration, cleansing, and quality assurance activities.
- Assist in building and maintaining data models and data warehouses.
- Monitor data pipelines and troubleshoot performance or data quality issues.
Data Analytics & Reporting
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, insights, and business opportunities.
- Create dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
- Develop SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and analysis.
- Collaborate with business teams to understand reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights.
- Support ad-hoc analysis and executive reporting needs.
Collaboration & Process Improvement
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Operations, Product, Finance, and Business stakeholders.
- Document data processes, business rules, and technical specifications.
- Contribute to automation initiatives and continuous process improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Analytics, or Business Intelligence.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks and Apache Spark fundamentals.
- Strong SQL skills for querying and data manipulation.
- Knowledge of relational databases and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with Python or PySpark for data processing.
- Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools.
