New Product Development Specialist

Role Description The New Product Development Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Hosur. This role involves leading and supporting the development of new seating and related components from concept through production, including idea generation, feasibility analysis, and design validation. The specialist will coordinate with R&D, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to manage prototypes, conduct testing, and refine products based on performance and customer feedback. Daily responsibilities include managing project timelines, preparing technical documentation, supporting cost and value analyses, and collaborating with internal stakeholders and clients to ensure new products meet functional, safety, and regulatory requirements. The role also requires monitoring market trends and competitor offerings to identify opportunities for product improvement and innovation.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills to interpret data, evaluate product performance, and support decision-making.
• Hands-on experience in Research and Development (R&D) and product development within manufacturing or automotive sectors.
• Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder updates, and technical documentation.
• Proficiency in project management, including planning, scheduling, and tracking milestones for multiple development projects.
• Relevant technical background, such as a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with CAD tools, product testing methods, and basic quality and safety standards for automotive or seating components.
• Ability to work on-site in Hosur, manage priorities in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a detail-oriented approach.
• Prior experience in new product introduction, vendor coordination, and cost optimization is an advantage.
