Senior Software Engineer
Company Description PLOMID is an AI-native database platform designed to power operational, analytical, AI, and edge workloads through a single logical database and multiple specialized physical engines. Built from first principles with a fully owned kernel, it unifies OLTP, OLAP, HTAP, vectors, search, graph, time-series, spatial, streams, edge/offline, and global multi-region capabilities in one coherent data layer. The platform is designed for humans, software, and AI agents alike, enabling seamless deployment from embedded and edge environments to global cloud infrastructure. PLOMID focuses on simplicity, performance, and flexibility to support the next generation of software and data-intensive applications. Joining PLOMID means contributing to cutting-edge data infrastructure at the intersection of databases and AI.
Role Description As a Senior Software Engineer at PLOMID, you will design, implement, and optimize core components of our AI-native database platform in a highly collaborative, engineering-focused environment. You will work on back-end services, database kernels, and distributed systems features, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance across operational, analytical, and AI workloads. Day-to-day, you will write production-quality code, perform code reviews, debug complex issues in distributed environments, and contribute to architectural decisions and technical roadmaps. You will partner closely with product, infrastructure, and AI teams to translate requirements into robust engineering solutions and improve developer experience around the platform. This is a full-time, remote role, offering autonomy, ownership, and the opportunity to influence a next-generation data layer.
