Role Description The Senior Software Engineer role at PYAAS is a full-time remote position responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems that support the company’s farm-to-home operations and digital customer experiences. Day-to-day, this role involves architecting scalable services, writing clean and efficient code, implementing APIs and data workflows, and integrating with third-party platforms to enhance supply chain visibility and customer-facing applications. The engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams including product, operations, and data to translate business requirements into technical solutions, improve system performance, and ensure reliability and security. Responsibilities also include code reviews, mentoring teammates, contributing to technical standards, and continuously optimizing tools and infrastructure that support PYAAS’s technology-driven dairy ecosystem.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and system design.
- Experience in Software Development and Programming, with proficiency in one or more modern languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go, or similar).
- Hands-on expertise in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, microservices, and database design (SQL/NoSQL).
- Solid understanding and practical application of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization/orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is beneficial.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and version control systems such as Git.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment with clear communication and documentation practices.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Background in supply chain, e-commerce, or food-tech domains is a plus.
