Role Description The Director will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for The Dhobi App’s launch and growth in Raipur, ensuring alignment with the company’s mission and customer experience standards. This full-time, hybrid position is based in Raipur, with a mix of on-site presence and some work-from-home flexibility as business needs allow. Day-to-day responsibilities include defining and executing business strategy, overseeing service operations and logistics, managing budgets and financial performance, and driving customer acquisition and retention. The Director will build and lead cross-functional teams, implement technology-driven processes, and collaborate with product, marketing, and customer support to deliver consistent, high-quality service. The role also involves monitoring key performance metrics, ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene standards, and identifying opportunities for expansion and partnerships.

Qualifications

  • Strategic leadership and business management skills, including experience setting vision, goals, and growth plans for a consumer-facing brand.
  • Operational and process management skills, such as overseeing service delivery, logistics, quality control, and continuous improvement.
  • Financial and analytical skills, including budgeting, forecasting, interpreting performance data, and making data-informed decisions.
  • Team-building and people management skills, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and fostering an inclusive work culture.
  • Customer-centric mindset and service excellence skills, with experience designing and improving customer journeys and handling escalations.
  • Technology and product collaboration skills, with comfort working with app-based services, digital tools, and cross-functional tech teams.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to represent the brand with partners, vendors, and local communities.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Operations, Management, or a related field; prior leadership experience in services, logistics, or consumer tech is highly beneficial.
