Role OverviewWe are looking for a Senior BigCommerce Developer with strong hands-on experience in storefront development, custom applications, Storefront APIs, and ecommerce architecture. You will lead technical delivery across client projects, troubleshoot complex issues, and mentor developers.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead BigCommerce storefront, theme, and custom application development.
• Build and customize storefronts using Stencil, Handlebars, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and React.
• Develop and maintain integrations using REST APIs, GraphQL, and BigCommerce APIs.
• Implement BigCommerce B2B Edition, Buyer Portal, Multi-Storefront, and headless commerce solutions.
• Integrate BigCommerce with PIM, ERP, and other third-party systems.
• Optimize storefront performance, accessibility, and user experience.
• Conduct code reviews, maintain coding standards, and mentor developers.
• Collaborate with project managers, QA, designers, and clients to deliver projects.
• Support technical solutioning and pre-sales when required.
• Use AI-assisted development tools and automated testing to improve code quality and delivery efficiency.Requirements
• 5+ years of frontend development experience with BigCommerce and/or Shopify.
• Strong hands-on experience with BigCommerce Stencil, Storefront APIs, GraphQL, B2B APIs, and custom apps.
• Proficiency in React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Handlebars.
• Experience with BigCommerce B2B Buyer Portal, page builders, and headless commerce.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, GraphQL, and third-party integrations.
• Experience with Git, Bitbucket, automated testing, and performance testing.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and build scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Experience conducting code reviews and mentoring developers.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and ownership skills.Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with BigCommerce Checkout SDK and custom checkout flows.
• Experience with PIM and ERP integrations.
• Experience using AI coding tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent practical experience.What We Offer
