Backend Engineer

What You'll Do:

• Design, build, and maintain backend systems powering core products.
• Write production-grade code with a strong focus on correctness, edge cases, and failure handling.
• Own features end-to-end from design and implementation to testing, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Work closely with Product, QA, Infrastructure, and Security teams to deliver reliable releases.
• Participate in code reviews with a focus on maintainability, scalability, and risk reduction.
• Proactively identify and mitigate issues before they impact users or funds.
• Improve system reliability, performance, observability, and operational resilience.
• Make thoughtful technical decisions and clearly communicate engineering trade-offs.

Experience: 5 to 8 years of strong hands-on backend engineering experience

Technical Skills

• Strong backend development experience in Golang
• Strong understanding of MySQL and relational databases.
• Experience with NoSQL / non-relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with Docker.
• Experience building and maintaining automated tests for backend systems and APIs.
• Understanding of concurrency, data structures, system design, debugging, and distributed systems.
• Experience with threat modeling and security architecture/design reviews.
• Exposure to CI/CD and production deployments is a plus.

Must Have:

• Experience with exchanges, wallets, custody, or Web3 systems.
• Understanding of cryptocurrency and blockchain fundamentals.
