Role Description The Shopify Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune Division. This role is responsible for leading the design, development, and maintenance of Shopify stores, ensuring high performance, usability, and scalability. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing a team of Shopify developers, overseeing theme customization, integrating third-party apps and APIs, and optimizing store functionality for conversion and ROI. The Shopify Development Manager collaborates closely with marketing, design, and analytics teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions and troubleshoot issues promptly. The role also involves implementing best practices, conducting code reviews, and staying current with Shopify platform updates and e-commerce trends.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Shopify development, including theme customization, Liquid templates, and Shopify apps.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design frameworks.
• Experience with API integrations, web performance optimization, and debugging across browsers and devices.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor development teams, manage projects, and coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Understanding of e-commerce best practices, conversion rate optimization, and user experience principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with attention to detail and quality.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience working with analytics tools, version control systems (e.g., Git), and agile development methodologies is a plus.
