About Syauctus AI

Syauctus AI develops an enterprise Clinical Revenue Intelligence platform for healthcare organizations.

Our platform applies advanced AI, clinical reasoning, and healthcare data intelligence to analyze complex clinical and coding information, identify documentation and coding opportunities, and deliver evidence-backed insights across the revenue cycle.

We are looking for a Principal AI & Platform Engineer to take senior technical ownership across our AI, platform and cloud architecture.

The Role

This is a senior, hands-on engineering role with broad technical ownership across the platform.

You will work closely with the founding team, and lead the architecture, engineering, and production operation of systems spanning clinical data ingestion, AI/ML pipelines, inference, evidence generation, backend services, healthcare integrations, and cloud infrastructure.

The ideal candidate combines deep software engineering fundamentals with strong production AI experience and is comfortable working across traditionally separate areas of AI/ML, platform engineering, data infrastructure, and cloud systems.

What You’ll Own

  • AI/ML training, evaluation, inference, deployment, versioning, monitoring, and continuous improvement
  • Production LLM, NLP, and clinical reasoning pipelines
  • End-to-end clinical data processing from ingestion through AI-generated findings and downstream application workflows
  • Backend platform architecture including APIs, databases, asynchronous processing, multi-tenancy, and auditability
  • Scalable processing of structured and unstructured healthcare data
  • Evidence provenance, traceability, and explainability across AI-generated recommendations
  • Cloud architecture and infrastructure across AWS
  • Containerization, CI/CD, observability, monitoring, reliability, and production operations
  • Security, privacy, access controls, logging, and technical controls required for enterprise healthcare environments
  • Platform performance, scalability, resilience, and operational reliability
  • Technical architecture supporting deployment across healthcare organizations

What We’re Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience across software engineering, platform engineering, machine learning engineering, or equivalent technical roles
  • Strong Python and production software engineering expertise
  • Demonstrated experience designing and operating production AI/ML systems
  • Strong understanding of modern LLM, NLP, and machine-learning architectures
  • Experience with model evaluation, inference systems, model lifecycle management, and MLOps
  • Strong AWS and cloud architecture experience
  • Experience designing scalable APIs, distributed systems, databases, and data pipelines
  • Strong understanding of Docker, CI/CD, observability, infrastructure security, failure recovery, and production monitoring
  • Ability to diagnose complex issues across data, models, application services, and infrastructure
  • Strong architectural judgment and ability to make pragmatic engineering decisions
  • Ability to operate with significant technical ownership and autonomy

Preferred Experience

  • FHIR R4, HL7, SMART on FHIR, or EHR integrations
  • Clinical NLP or processing of longitudinal clinical data
  • Experience operating software in regulated or security-sensitive environments

Who You Are

You are a senior engineer who remains deeply technical.

You are comfortable moving between AI models, backend architecture, data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and production systems.

You can investigate an inference issue, design a new data pipeline, review an API architecture, diagnose an infrastructure failure, improve an evaluation framework, and make architectural decisions about how the overall platform should evolve.

You think beyond individual models or services and understand how the complete system must operate reliably at enterprise scale.

Most importantly, you care about building AI systems that are accurate, traceable, secure, observable, and dependable in real-world healthcare environments.

Location: Remote within India. The role will work closely with teams based in the U.S. and India and may require periodic overlap with U.S. business hours.
