About Neewee & Bodhee

Neewee is an enterprise software product company building Bodhee, a planning and scheduling platform used in complex manufacturing environments, particularly Pharma and Vaccines.

Bodhee is built using Python, Java, Angular, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes and cloud technologies. Python forms the core of our scheduling and optimization engine and integrates closely with the broader application platform.

Role

We are looking for a strong Python engineer who can take technical ownership of our Python-based scheduling platform, remain hands-on, guide a small engineering team and work across the broader application architecture.

This is primarily a software engineering role — not a Data Science or Research Scientist position.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop production-grade Python applications and algorithmic components.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance to Python engineers.
• Participate in architecture, design and code reviews.
• Build scalable, modular and maintainable solutions.
• Understand end-to-end application impact of changes made in the Python layer.
• Work closely with Java, QA, Product and Cloud/DevOps teams.
• Troubleshoot performance, scalability and production issues.
• Drive good practices around testing, security, CI/CD and SDLC.
• Communicate technical decisions, risks and trade-offs to senior leadership.What We Are Looking For
• 6–7 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Python 3.x.
• Strong understanding of:
• Object-oriented design and software design principles
• Data structures and algorithms
• REST APIs and service integration
• Unit/integration testing, preferably PyTest
• Debugging, profiling and performance optimization
• Concurrent / asynchronous processing
• PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
• Good understanding of microservices, Docker, Kubernetes and cloud-native applications.
• Experience with GCP, AWS or Azure. Exposure to Cloud Run Jobs, Kubernetes Jobs, AWS Batch or similar job-processing platforms is desirable.
• Ability to understand Java–Python integration and broader enterprise application architecture.
• Comfortable guiding engineers while continuing to remain hands-on.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with CXO/senior leadership.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving product/start-up environment.Scheduling / Optimization Exposure

Bodhee solves complex production scheduling problems. Prior experience in any of the following would be an advantage, but is not mandatory:

• Scheduling or planning systems
• Optimization problems
• Constraint-based systems
• Google OR-Tools / CP-SAT
• Operations ResearchWe are more interested in a strong Python software engineer with excellent problem-solving ability who can learn the scheduling domain.

Exposure to LLMs or Agentic AI is a plus, but is not a core requirement.
