Title: SAP ABAP Consultant

Location: India

Duration: 12+ Months (Contract)

Description

Analyze existing custom ABAP programs and objects for compatibility with S/4HANA 2025.

Remediate obsolete or incompatible code, including performance tuning and optimization.

Support pre-upgrade tasks such as cleaning up unreleased transport requests and activating inactive objects.

Collaborate with functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Develop and test RICEFW objects as per the upgrade scope and post-hypercare requirements.

Assist in the upgrade of SAP S/4HANA and other integrated components as per the guidelines in the S/4HANA 2025 upgrade release notes.

Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing.

Provide technical documentation and knowledge transfer to internal teams.

Required Skills:

Minimum 8 years of experience in SAP ABAP development.

Hands-on experience with S/4HANA (preferably 2020 or later).

Strong understanding of SAP modules such as FICO, MM, SD, and GTS.

Experience with CDS Views, AMDP, OData Services, and Fiori integration.

Familiarity with SAP upgrade methodologies and tools such as Maintenance Planner and SUM.

Ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

SAP S/4HANA Certification.

Exposure to SAP PI/PO, Vistex, Ariba, and OpenText VIM/CIC integrations.

Knowledge of SAP archiving and data quality improvement strategies.

Soft Skills:
