Senior Full Stack Engineer

Position Overview: Build and scale Visteon’s AI products end to end, from the user interface to the backend services and the cloud systems they run on. Own features from design through production, and make sure our applications stay fast, secure and reliable as usage grows. Work closely with AI/ML, product, design and QA teams, and stay hands-on in solving complex engineering problems.

Key Objectives of this Role:

  • Build complete web or mobile applications, from the first screen to release, using any modern frontend stack.
  • Turn designs into fast, accessible and easy-to-use screens that work well on all screen sizes.
  • Build and maintain shared UI components and manage app state and data flow in a clean, predictable way.
  • Design and build APIs and backend services that are secure, well documented and easy to use.
  • Design databases that stay fast as data grows and choose the right storage for each need (SQL, NoSQL, cache or file storage).
  • Use caching, background job queues and message queues to reduce load and keep systems responsive.
  • Build secure login and access control and protect data in storage and in transit.
  • Deploy applications to the cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP) using containers and set up systems that scale with traffic.
  • Find and fix performance problems across the full stack, from slow screens to slow queries and overloaded servers.
  • Set up logging, monitoring and alerts so problems are found and fixed quickly.
  • Take part in code reviews, design discussions and technical decisions, and help keep cloud costs under control.

  • On-time delivery of features with high quality and few production issues.
  • Application performance, uptime and ability to handle growing traffic.
  • Test coverage and reliability of releases.
  • Reuse of shared components, services and deployment patterns across the team.
  • Feedback and satisfaction from product, design and AI teams.

Key Year One Deliverables:

  • Deliver multiple features end to end, from design through production.
  • Improve backend performance and scaling for at least one key product.
  • Build or improve reusable UI components and backend service templates.
  • Set up or strengthen CI/CD pipelines, monitoring and alerting for owned services.
  • Document architecture and deployment practices so others can build on them.

Qualification, Experience and Skills:

  • bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in full stack development.
  • Strong skills in at least one modern frontend technology (web or mobile) and at least one backend language.
  • Solid knowledge of relational databases, SQL, caching, REST APIs, authentication and application security.
  • Hands-on experience deploying and running applications on a cloud platform using containers (Docker or similar).
  • Proven experience scaling backend systems, such as handling higher traffic, load balancing or improving database performance.
  • Ability to learn a new language or framework quickly when needed.
  • Good to have: Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog), microservices, and experience with AI products such as LLM apps, AI agents, vector databases or model deployment.
