Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Data Science Subject Matter Expert (SME) based in Coimbatore. The SME will design and deliver data science and analytics content for students, including structured lessons, practice problems, case studies, and project-based learning. Responsibilities include explaining complex concepts in a clear and practical manner, mentoring learners, reviewing assignments, and providing detailed feedback to help them improve. The role involves collaborating with curriculum designers to update and refine content, staying current with industry trends and tools, and contributing to workshops, bootcamps, and live sessions. The SME will also support assessment design, question creation, and placement-focused training aligned with hiring standards in top tech companies.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Data Science and Data Analytics skills, including familiarity with common tools, techniques, and workflows.
• Candidates should possess solid Data Analysis and Statistics skills to interpret data, build insights, and validate results.
• Candidates should possess robust Analytical Skills to break down problems, structure solutions, and guide learners through real-world scenarios.
• 2–3+ years of relevant experience in data science, analytics, or a related technical role.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used in data science (e.g., Python or R), and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
• Experience applying data science concepts in industry projects or academic research, preferably with exposure to machine learning and model evaluation.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to teach and mentor diverse groups of learners.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
