Role

Clinvvo is hiring a senior engineer to help build a production MCP server that connects the Clinvvo platform to AI assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot. You will work alongside our engineering lead and own significant parts of the build.

About the project

Clinvvo is the modern healthcare OS, live in 300+ hospitals and clinics across Europe, the UK, India and the US. The MCP server exposes Clinvvo’s APIs as tools, helps users build integrations from plain-language requests, and keeps patient data and credentials protected throughout. It runs on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and deploy the MCP server and its AWS infrastructure
  • Turn Clinvvo’s internal APIs into MCP tools, with guardrails and per-user permissions
  • Implement sign-in through Clinvvo’s existing login (OAuth)
  • Build data protection: PII masking, credential scanning, secure logging
  • Build pipelines that keep the tools current as the platform changes
  • Set up automated evaluations and monitoring
  • Write documentation and support handover to the wider Clinvvo engineering team

Must-have skills and experience

  • 3-5 years building backend services in production, strong in Python or TypeScript/Node.js
  • Hands-on with the Model Context Protocol: has built or shipped at least one MCP server (tools, schemas, transports)
  • Solid AWS: IAM, Lambda or containers, API Gateway, VPC networking, CloudWatch, Secrets Manager; IaC with CDK or Terraform
  • OAuth 2.x and OIDC in practice, ideally with Amazon Cognito (authorization code flow, PKCE, token exchange)
  • Code generation from API specs or source (OpenAPI, AST parsing or similar)
  • LLM application experience: tool calling, prompt design, structured outputs, and evaluating model output with test sets
  • Security mindset: least privilege, PII and patient-data handling, secret scanning, audit logging
  • CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or similar)
  • Ships fast, works independently and communicates clearly across product, engineering and clinical teams

Nice to have

  • Amazon Bedrock AgentCore (Runtime, Gateway, Identity, Observability) or Bedrock Agents
  • Experience connecting MCP servers to Claude, ChatGPT connectors, GitHub Copilot in VS Code or Cursor
  • Experience with API integrations across healthcare and business systems (EHR/EMR, practice management, CRM)
  • Vector search (OpenSearch, pgvector, Bedrock Knowledge Bases)
  • LLM eval tooling (promptfoo, Ragas, Braintrust, LangSmith or home-grown harnesses)
  • Policy engines for guardrails (Cedar, OPA)
  • Customer-facing delivery experience
