Profile – Full Stack Engineer - AI

The Role:

The Full Stack Engineer – AI will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying and maintaining end-to-end web applications with integrated AI capabilities. The role involves frontend and backend development, API integration, database management and building AI-powered solutions using LLMs, RAG and related frameworks to automate business workflows and improve operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

1. Full Stack Application Development

Design, develop and maintain end-to-end web applications using JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks such as React.
Develop responsive user interfaces, backend services and REST APIs using Node.js, Python or equivalent technologies.
Integrate applications with databases, third-party platforms and existing business systems.
Write clean, reusable and maintainable code while following software engineering best practices.
Manage application development, testing, deployment and ongoing maintenance.

2. AI & LLM Application Development

Build and integrate AI-powered applications using LLM APIs and AI frameworks such as LangChain and LlamaIndex.
Develop AI-driven solutions for intelligent search, document processing, summarisation, conversational interfaces and workflow automation.
Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), embeddings and tool/function calling.
Evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, reliability and performance.
Implement validation, error handling and human-review mechanisms for AI-powered applications.

3. API Integration & Cloud Deployment

Design and integrate APIs to connect applications with third-party services and enterprise systems.
Work with relational and NoSQL databases, data models and application data structures.
Deploy and maintain applications across cloud environments.
Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, monitoring and version control using Git.
Troubleshoot production issues and improve application performance, scalability and security.

4. Business Collaboration & Delivery

Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate business problems into technical solutions.
Identify opportunities to automate existing business processes using AI and application development.
Independently manage development priorities and deliver solutions within agreed timelines.
Maintain technical documentation, application workflows and integration dependencies.
Continuously explore emerging AI technologies and identify opportunities for application improvement.

Must-Have Qualifications:

5–6 years of experience in full-stack software development, including building and deploying production applications.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React or similar frontend frameworks.
Hands-on backend development experience in Node.js, Python or equivalent technologies.
Experience in REST API development, database management and third-party integrations.
Practical experience developing or integrating AI/LLM-powered applications.
Understanding of LLM APIs, RAG, embeddings and AI frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex.
Experience with Git, automated testing, CI/CD, cloud deployment and production debugging.
Knowledge of application security, authentication, authorisation and data protection.

Preferred Skills:

Experience developing AI-enabled business applications and workflow automation solutions.
Exposure to intelligent search, document processing, summarisation and conversational AI.
Experience with cloud platforms and production-grade AI application deployment.
