Software Engineer - Backend Focus

We're hiring a Software Engineer – Backend to build and ship production backend systems across real client and internal use cases. You'll design APIs and services, build reliable data-backed applications, and own them in production. This is a full-time, work-from-office role in Hyderabad.

What You'll Do

TL;DR: Build and run the backend systems behind real products.

• Design and build backend services and APIs in Python using FastAPI
• Design data models and work with SQL and PostgreSQL
• Build async, scalable services, background jobs, and data pipelines
• Integrate with third-party APIs, databases, and services
• Write well-tested, maintainable code with clear documentation

Qualifications

TL;DR: Strong backend engineering fundamentals in Python and FastAPI, with production experience.

You Are:

• 2 to 5 years into your professional engineering career
• A strong backend engineer who has built and shipped production services
• Someone who cares about reliable, well-tested production systems
• Comfortable picking up new frameworks and tools quickly
• Someone who enjoys owning a system end to end, not just isolated tickets

Must-haves:

• Strong Python, with production experience building APIs in FastAPI
• Solid SQL and PostgreSQL, including schema design, indexing, and query optimization
• Experience with async programming, Pydantic, and an ORM (SQLAlchemy or similar)
• Good grasp of API design (REST), authentication, software architecture, Git, testing (pytest), and production engineering fundamentals
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Nice-to-haves:

• Redis, message queues (Celery, RabbitMQ, Kafka, SQS), or distributed systems
• Docker, CI/CD, and cloud (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Observability, logging, and monitoring tools
• Experience integrating LLM APIs or building RAG/AI features
• Some frontend experience (React, Next.js, TypeScript)
