NOVEXIS INC is hiring founding Full Stack Engineers with a backend focus to build ROXIUM AI, the platform that runs the plastic surgery patient journey end to end.

NOVEXIS INC is the holding company behind a group of medical and aesthetics companies, including ROXIUM AI, the systems and automation company serving plastic surgery practices. Our product is a SaaS platform that connects every step a patient takes, from first inquiry and consultation through surgery, recovery and follow-up, so practices run on data instead of spreadsheets and guesswork.

You will own the backend: data model, APIs, integrations, security and infrastructure. You will also ship frontend features when the product needs them. This is an early, high-ownership seat working directly with the Founder & CEO and our product and design team. The role is fully remote, with 2–3 hours of daily overlap with US Pacific Time (your evenings in India).

What you'll build and own

• Design and build the core backend: services, APIs and the data model for patients, practices, procedures, scheduling and recovery.
• Build secure, HIPAA-compliant infrastructure: encryption, access control, audit logging and PHI handling from day one.
• Integrate with the systems practices already use: EMR/EHR and practice management software, CRMs, scheduling, payments, messaging (SMS and email) and calendar tools.
• Build the automation layer: patient reminders, pre-op and post-op workflows, follow-ups and handoffs between front desk, coordinators and surgeons.
• Build the data and AI layer: event tracking, reporting dashboards and LLM-powered features such as intake summaries, patient messaging assistance and journey analytics.
• Ship frontend features end to end when needed, working closely with design.
• Own deployment, monitoring, testing and CI/CD; keep the platform reliable, fast and secure as it scales across practices.
• Help shape the product roadmap with what you learn from practices, and help hire and mentor future engineers.

What we're looking forRequired

• 5+ years of professional software engineering, with strong backend depth and solid frontend skills.
• Production experience with Node.js/TypeScript or Python, and a modern frontend framework (React or Next.js).
• Strong relational database design and SQL (PostgreSQL preferred).
• Experience designing and maintaining REST or GraphQL APIs and third-party integrations.
• Hands-on cloud experience (AWS, GCP or Azure), including containers, CI/CD and monitoring.
• A security-first mindset: authentication, authorization, encryption and handling sensitive data.
• Proven ability to take features from idea to production in a startup or small-team environment.
• Clear communicator who can work directly with a founder and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Healthcare or healthtech experience, especially HIPAA compliance and PHI handling.
• EMR/EHR integrations (HL7, FHIR) or practice-management software experience.
• Experience building with LLM APIs, retrieval and AI workflow automation.
• Multi-tenant SaaS architecture experience.
• Familiarity with aesthetics, plastic surgery or medical practice operations.

Our stackTypeScript, Node.js, React/Next.js, PostgreSQL and cloud infrastructure on AWS, with LLM APIs for AI features. The stack is still being finalized, and you will have a strong voice in it.

Your first 90 days

• Days 1–30: Learn the product vision and the patient journey; review the architecture and set up environments, CI/CD and security foundations.
• Days 31–60: Ship the core data model and first APIs; deliver the first practice-facing workflow.
• Days 61–90: Launch the first integrations and automations with pilot practices; set up monitoring, reporting and the engineering roadmap.
