Senior Scrum Master / Agile Delivery Lead

Experience: 10+ Years Overall | 5+ Years as Scrum Master/Agile Delivery Lead

Location: Bangalore (5 days WFO)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly proactive Senior Scrum Master who can partner closely with senior leadership, including VPs, Directors, Delivery Heads, Product Leadership, and key business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of strategic initiatives.

This role goes beyond traditional Scrum facilitation. The ideal candidate will be a strong problem solver, strategic thinker, and delivery leader who can independently identify risks, resolve impediments, drive consensus, and provide practical solutions without excessive dependency on product owners, development teams, or management.

The successful candidate must possess exceptional stakeholder management skills, executive-level communication capabilities, and a proven ability to navigate complex organizational challenges while driving delivery excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Agile Delivery Leadership

  • Lead multiple Agile teams and strategic programs across the organization.
  • Drive end-to-end delivery execution, ensuring timelines, quality, and business objectives are met.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies while focusing on outcomes rather than processes.
  • Monitor team performance, sprint progress, dependencies, and delivery commitments.

Executive Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for VPs, Directors, Delivery Heads, and senior business stakeholders.
  • Present delivery status, risks, mitigation plans, and strategic recommendations to leadership.
  • Build strong relationships across business and technology functions.
  • Influence decision-making through data, analysis, and structured problem-solving.

Problem Solving & Issue Resolution

  • Proactively identify risks, blockers, dependencies, and delivery challenges.
  • Independently drive issue resolution and mitigation planning.
  • Facilitate difficult conversations and conflict resolution across teams and stakeholders.
  • Bring solutions and recommendations rather than escalating problems.

Program & Dependency Management

  • Manage cross-team dependencies and coordinate execution across multiple workstreams.
  • Ensure alignment between business priorities, product roadmaps, and delivery plans.
  • Drive governance, planning, forecasting, and release coordination.

Agile Coaching & Continuous Improvement

  • Coach teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Agile best practices.
  • Improve team maturity, predictability, productivity, and delivery effectiveness.
  • Champion a culture of accountability, ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 10+ years of IT industry experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on Scrum Master or Agile Delivery Lead experience.
  • Strong experience working with senior leadership, including Directors, VPs, and executive stakeholders.
  • Proven track record managing complex enterprise programs and multiple Agile teams.
  • Deep understanding of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, and Lean principles.
  • Experience managing risks, dependencies, escalations, and enterprise delivery challenges.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
