About the Role
Roofsol Energy Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced ERP Manager to lead the selection, implementation, integration, and ongoing management of the Company's ERP ecosystem.
The role will be responsible for understanding business requirements across functions, evaluating and selecting the most suitable ERP platform, managing implementation partners, overseeing system configuration and integrations, driving organisation-wide adoption, and ensuring effective day-to-day ERP operations.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in ERP implementation and transformation projects, preferably in EPC, Solar, Infrastructure, Manufacturing, Construction, or other project-driven organisations.
Key Responsibilities
1. ERP Selection & Evaluation
- Understand business requirements and identify ERP requirements across Finance, Procurement, Projects, Sales, HR, Inventory, Operations, and other functions.
- Conduct ERP requirement study and prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRD), RFPs and functional requirement specifications.
- Evaluate ERP platforms and implementation partners based on functionality, scalability, integration capabilities, cost, implementation timelines, and support.
- Coordinate product demonstrations, technical evaluations, commercial discussions, and final vendor selection.
- Recommend an ERP solution aligned with the Company's current and future business requirements.
2. ERP Implementation & Project Management
- Lead end-to-end ERP implementation across the organisation from planning through go-live.
- Develop implementation roadmap, timelines, milestones, budgets, and project governance mechanisms.
- Coordinate with ERP vendors, consultants, internal stakeholders, and functional teams.
- Manage configuration, customisation, master-data migration, testing, UAT, training, and go-live activities.
- Identify implementation risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks and ensure timely resolution.
- Ensure implementation remains within agreed scope, timelines, and budgets.
3. Business Process Mapping & Digital Transformation
- Study existing business processes and identify gaps, inefficiencies, duplication, and manual activities.
- Work with functional heads to map As-Is and To-Be processes.
- Recommend process standardisation and automation opportunities through ERP.
- Ensure ERP implementation supports the Company's project-based and multi-location business operations.
- Establish appropriate workflows, approval matrices, controls, and process governance.
4. Cross-Functional ERP Management
- Work closely with Finance & Accounts, Procurement, Projects, Operations, Sales, HR, Warehousing, Commercial, and Management teams.
- Translate business requirements into functional ERP requirements.
- Act as the key bridge between business users, management, IT, and ERP implementation partners.
- Ensure integration and information flow between different functions and modules.
5. ERP Integration & Data Management
- Oversee integration of ERP with relevant business applications, portals, CRM, HRMS, accounting systems, payment systems, and other platforms as required.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, security, and integrity across systems.
- Establish ERP master-data governance for customers, vendors, materials, projects, employees, chart of accounts, etc.
- Monitor data migration and ensure accuracy during system transition.
6. Testing, Training & Change Management
- Develop and manage UAT plans and ensure comprehensive testing before go-live.
- Coordinate with departmental users to identify and resolve system/process issues.
- Develop user manuals, SOPs, process documentation, and training material.
- Conduct or coordinate ERP training for employees and key users.
- Drive user adoption and manage resistance to process/system changes.
7. Day-to-Day ERP Operations & Support
- Take ownership of the Company's ERP platform after implementation.
- Monitor system performance, availability, functionality, and user issues.
- Manage ERP support tickets, issue resolution, enhancements, and change requests.
- Coordinate with ERP vendors for technical support, upgrades, patches, and system improvements.
- Establish appropriate SLA, support, escalation, and issue-resolution mechanisms.
8. ERP Governance, Controls & Reporting
- Establish ERP governance framework, access controls, roles, and user permissions.
- Ensure appropriate segregation of duties and approval workflows.
- Monitor system usage, data quality, compliance, and process adherence.
- Develop ERP dashboards and management reports in coordination with business teams.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on ERP implementation progress, system performance, issues, and improvement initiatives.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.
- MBA / PG qualification in IT, Operations, Systems, Business Analytics, or related field will be an advantage.
- 8–10 years of relevant experience in ERP implementation, ERP management, digital transformation, or enterprise applications.
- Strong hands-on experience in end-to-end ERP implementation and post-go-live management.
- Experience in evaluating ERP products and managing ERP implementation vendors/consultants.
- Strong understanding of business processes across Finance, Procurement, Projects, Inventory, Sales, HR, and Operations.
- Experience in project management, process mapping, UAT, data migration, system integration, and change management.
- Experience in EPC, Solar, Infrastructure, Construction, Manufacturing, or project-based organisations will be strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder-management, and communication skills.
- Ability to independently manage multiple stakeholders and drive organisation-wide implementation.
