HALBEX is building India’s secure export infrastructure for global food trade.
HALBEX is an India-origin, B2B merchant-trader platform connecting verified Indian exporters with approved international markets through a controlled system covering:
Product & destination compliance
Buyer and seller workflows
Blind trade and Switch Bill of Lading
Logistics and shipment management
RFQ and quotation workflows
INR-based finance and escrow workflows
Admin, Buyer, Seller and Logistics portals
Audit, security and operational controls
The platform is already substantially developed. This is not a greenfield project where the selected engineer starts everything from scratch.
We are looking for a technically strong professional who can understand the existing platform, take ownership of it, improve it systematically, and lead its next stage of development.

The Opportunity
This is more than a conventional coding position.
The selected professional will be expected to take complete ownership of the technical function from Day 1, including application development, architecture, integrations, testing, security, production operations and future technical team development.
You will work closely with the Founder and business leadership to turn HALBEX into a reliable, scalable and professionally operated technology platform.

Key Responsibilities
1. Existing Platform Ownership
Study and understand the existing HALBEX codebase and architecture.
Conduct technical audits before making major changes.
Improve existing modules rather than unnecessarily rebuilding working systems.
Identify technical debt, architectural risks and performance issues.
Maintain a clear technical roadmap.
2. Full-Stack Engineering
Take ownership of both:
Frontend
Next.js
React
TypeScript
Tailwind CSS
Admin dashboards
Buyer portal
Seller portal
Logistics portal
Responsive UI/UX
Backend
Supabase/PostgreSQL
Server Actions
APIs and integrations
Authentication and authorization
RLS/security
Database architecture
Business-rule enforcement
Background workflows and notifications
3. AI-Native Development
HALBEX encourages the effective use of modern AI development tools.
You should be comfortable using tools such as:
Claude Code
Gemini
AI coding assistants
MCP-based tools/integrations
Automated testing and debugging tools
However, AI-generated code must never be accepted blindly.
You will be expected to:
Generate → Review → Audit → Test → Debug → Secure → Finalize
You remain responsible for the correctness, security, performance and maintainability of the final implementation.

4. AWS Migration & Production Infrastructure
A major responsibility will be supporting the complete transition of the HALBEX production environment toward AWS.
This includes working with:
AWS infrastructure
Application deployment
Database architecture

Monitoring

Production reliability
Scaling
Experience with VPS/Linux/Nginx/PM2 and cloud environments will be valuable.

Founding Team Opportunity
Selected early professionals may be considered for the HALBEX Founding Team.
The Founding Team framework is designed for professionals who join before commercial trading and contribute to building the company's functions, systems, processes and teams.
Long-term opportunity
Subject to the applicable Founding Team policy, individual agreement, eligibility requirements, accounting determination and corporate approvals:
Eligible Founding Team members may qualify for participation of up to 1% of Eligible Distributable Profit.
This is not company equity, and it is not a guaranteed payment.
For illustration:
Eligible Distributable Profit 1% Participation
₹1 crore ₹1 lakh
₹5 crore ₹5 lakh
₹10 crore ₹10 lakh
₹25 crore ₹25 lakh
₹100 crore ₹1 crore
If HALBEX reaches ₹100 crore of Eligible Distributable Profit in a qualifying year, and an eligible participant qualifies for the full 1% participation, the corresponding participation would be ₹1 crore.

The Founding Team framework includes a five-year qualifying period focused on sustained ownership, performance, leadership, continuity, team development and good standing.

Starting Salary: ₹30,000/month
The initial salary reflects HALBEX's current pre-commercial stage.
A proposed progression is:
Year 1 — ₹30,000/month
Year 2 — ₹33,000/month
Year 3 — ₹36,300/month
Year 4 — ₹39,930/month
Year 5 — ₹43,923/month
The above progression is proposed and remains subject to employment terms, performance and company policy.
