We are looking for a Product Designer (NPD) to be based in Bengaluru (HSR Layout).

Job Summary:

  • Drive new product development from product benchmarking and specification through prototype development, validation, costing, and commercialization across furniture, kitchen, wardrobe, hardware, accessories, and allied categories.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for product samples, technical specifications, feasibility, costing, prototyping, trials, modifications, and final validation.
  • Prepare and maintain product specifications, BOMs, costing inputs, drawings, development documentation, and approval records.
  • Evaluate products and alternatives based on functionality, quality, manufacturing feasibility, cost, and commercial viability.
  • Develop and maintain a structured product catalogue/library covering product specifications, images, finishes, applications, vendors, and relevant technical information for easy reference and reuse.
  • Coordinate effectively with Design, Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, Sales, Projects, Commercial, and Supply Chain teams to ensure timely NPD execution.
  • Support development and expansion of product categories.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Degree/Diploma in Engineering, Product Design, Industrial Design, Interior Design, or related discipline.
  • 4–6 years of relevant experience in NPD, product development, modular/furniture, hardware, accessories, or related industries preferred.
  • Strong understanding of furniture, hardware, materials, finishes, manufacturing processes, BOMs, drawings, and product development.
  • Hands-on experience in BOM preparation, product benchmarking, prototyping, vendor coordination, costing, product cataloguing, and technical documentation.
  • Good analytical, communication, coordination, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple product development activities and coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders.

Added Advantage:

  • Experience with ERP/SAP, BOM and material master standardization, CAD/technical drawings, and product data management.
  • Experience in process standardization and implementation of product development systems/processes.

Key Deliverables:

  • Accurate and timely product documentation.
  • Updated and structured product catalogue/library with standardized product information.
  • Timely resolution of technical queries and product-related issues raised by cross-functional teams.
  • Adherence to NPD processes and timely completion of product development, validation, and production release activities.
