About the role
Saints & Masters is partnering on the design and implementation of an enterprise AI-enabled Corporate Credit Intelligence and Decision Support solution for a large Indian public sector bank. The platform will act as a single intelligence layer for the bank's corporate credit function, serving relationship managers, credit committees, executive management and the Board.
We are seeking a dedicated Corporate Credit Subject Matter Expert to act as the domain anchor for this programme.
About the programme
The solution is organised around four areas:
- Industry Outlook — continuously refreshed industry and sub-industry intelligence
- Company New to the Bank — public-domain intelligence on prospective borrowers covering group structure, promoters, financials, ratings, legal and news
- Company Existing with the Bank — the above plus internal data on account conduct, exposure, sanctions, covenants, EWS and credit history
- CAM Report Generation — automated draft Credit Appraisal Memoranda in the bank's prescribed formats for fresh, renewal, enhancement and ad-hoc requests, with human finalisationResponsibilities — pre-implementation study
- Lead the requirement study and as-is / to-be gap analysis of the bank's corporate credit lifecycle: origination, appraisal, sanction, documentation, disbursement, monitoring, renewal and review
- Assess internal data sources (CBS, LOS/LMS, CRM, EWS, risk-rating, credit files) and authenticated external sources (MCA21, NSE/BSE, CMIE, CRISIL, Probe42) for each use case
- Carry out current-state assessment and peer benchmarking against leading Indian banks
- Define the target operating model and future-state credit process design
- Co-author the technology, analytics and AI implementation blueprint with the AI/solution lead, including risk assessment and success metrics
- Deliver the requirement study, gap analysis and implementation blueprint for client sign-offResponsibilities — design, UAT and post-implementation
- Translate credit policy, CAM formats and appraisal practice into functional specifications, prompts, validation rules and guardrails
- Validate AI outputs — industry notes, company dossiers, account-conduct and projection-versus-actual analysis, draft CAMs — for credit accuracy, regulatory alignment and usability
- Define test scenarios and lead business UAT with the bank's credit teams
- Support training for credit officers, relationship managers and sanctioning authorities, and provide domain support after go-live
- Act as the domain interface with senior bank stakeholders and participate in programme governanceRequired qualifications
- Significant experience in corporate or mid-corporate credit with Indian banks
- Hands-on credit appraisal of large and mid-corporate borrowers, including CAM preparation and presentation to sanctioning authorities and credit committees
- Working capital assessment (CMA data, drawing power, turnover and cash-budget methods), term loans and project finance (TEV / DPR review), non-fund-based limits and consortium or multiple banking arrangements
- Credit monitoring and risk management: EWS / SMA, covenant tracking, stock and receivables audits, account conduct review, restructuring and NPA management
- Familiarity with RBI regulations relevant to corporate credit, including IRAC norms, large exposures and KYC/due diligence, and internal credit risk rating frameworks
- Strong written communication, with the ability to author senior-management reports and structured blueprintsPreferred qualifications
- Public sector bank experience
- Experience in credit policy, process re-engineering, or a credit / LOS digitisation project
- Professional credentials such as CA, CFA, MBA (Finance), CAIIB or IIBF credit certifications
- Exposure to AI, analytics or data-driven credit decisioning, industry research, rating agencies or bank consulting
