Software Engineer

About the role

We’re a fast-growing tech startup building and shipping real products, and I’m looking for a senior engineer who can own the technical side end to end. You’ll make architecture decisions, build features, and move fast. If you like owning things and seeing your work used by real people, this is for you.

What you’ll do

• Design, build, and ship mobile apps (iOS and Android) and web apps from scratch
• Own our backend on Supabase: Postgres database design, queries, Row Level Security policies, auth, storage, realtime, and edge functions
• Manage our codebase on GitHub: branching strategy, pull requests, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and releases
• Build and integrate AI features using LLMs and AI APIs, including automation, data enrichment, and smart search
• Use AI coding tools (Claude, Cursor, Copilot, etc.) in your daily workflow to ship faster without cutting quality
• Design clean APIs and integrations with third-party services such as payments, maps, notifications, and messaging
• Optimize performance, security, and scalability as usage grows
• Fix bugs quickly, monitor the system, and keep uptime solid
• Write clear documentation so the system doesn’t live only in your head
• Guide and review the work of other developers or contractors as the team grows
• Turn business ideas into working features with minimal hand-holdingWhat we’re looking for
• 8 to 10+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong, hands-on experience with Supabase and PostgreSQL, including RLS, migrations, and edge functions
• Strong command of GitHub workflows (PRs, Actions, code review, release management)
• Proven track record of building and publishing apps to the App Store and Google Play
• Experience with React Native, Flutter, or similar cross-platform frameworks, plus solid TypeScript/JavaScript
• Backend experience with Node.js or a similar stack, and solid REST API design
• Deep, current knowledge of AI: LLM APIs, prompt design, agents, automation, and practical ways to use AI in products and in development
• Experience with cloud services, authentication, and application security best practices
• Ability to work independently, make sound technical decisions, and explain them in plain language
• Strong communication skills in English and comfort working across time zonesNice to have
• Experience with marketplace, e-commerce, or logistics-style platforms
• Background in data pipelines or catalogue and data enrichment tools
• Experience with payments, maps and location, and push notifications

Compensation: ₹20 to 30 lakhs per annum (LPA), based on experience and skills
