Technical Lead – Full-Stack & AI Applications (AWS)

About the Role

We’re looking for a hands-on Technical Lead to lead the development and delivery of Zeus and related client applications. You’ll guide engineers, make technical decisions, and collaborate with our existing engineering leadership to build reliable, scalable software.

Key Responsibilities

• Own technical planning and delivery for assigned products and projects.
• Translate business and client requirements into technical specifications, tasks, and delivery milestones.
• Lead backend, frontend, and AI application development.
• Write and review production code, resolve complex issues, and maintain engineering standards.
• Design APIs, databases, integrations, and background processing workflows.
• Guide AWS architecture and collaborate on deployments, monitoring, reliability, and cloud costs.
• Coordinate with other technical leads to reuse platform capabilities and manage dependencies.
• Work with QA to define acceptance criteria, verify AI outputs, and prepare releases.
• Implement access controls and secure handling of sensitive data.
• Mentor developers, identify delivery risks, and communicate progress clearly.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience leading developers and delivering production applications.
• Strong backend expertise in Python or Node.js.
• Working knowledge of React or Next.js and full-stack application architecture.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, relational databases, APIs, and third-party integrations.
• Experience with code reviews, automated testing, Git, Docker, and CI/CD.
• Ability to own delivery while remaining actively involved in development.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to clarify requirements with business stakeholders.

Good to Have

• Experience integrating LLMs through Amazon Bedrock or other model APIs.
• Experience with healthcare software, document processing, or workflow automation.
• Experience building platforms used by multiple client organizations.
