About the Role

We are hiring a Junior Machine Learning Engineer to join our Dataraft product team at Greywiz. Dataraft is an AI/ML-powered data analytics platform used by manufacturing companies to gain operational insights, improve forecasting, and enhance process efficiencies.

This is a full-time, onsite role at our Basavanagudi office in South-Central Bangalore. Candidates must be located nearby or willing to relocate to areas within a reasonable commute. We do not offer hybrid or remote options.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain machine learning pipelines using scikit-learn

Clean and analyze structured and semi-structured data using Pandas, DuckDB, and MongoDB

Design and maintain REST APIs using Python FastAPI

Build frontend components using Svelte.js (React.js experience also considered)

Collaborate with product and engineering teams to develop end-to-end features

Document code and follow best practices for versioning and testing

Must-Have Skills

Strong programming experience in Python

Proficiency in Pandas, scikit-learn, and basic ML algorithms

Familiarity with FastAPI or similar Python-based web frameworks

Understanding of MongoDB, DuckDB, and SQL-based data querying

Frontend development experience in Svelte.js or React.js

Internship experience (minimum 1 completed internship) in a relevant ML/data/backend/frontend project

Good-to-Have Skills

Exposure to Neural Networks (PyTorch or TensorFlow)

Background in statistics or data science methodologies

Knowledge of MLOps tools, basic DevOps, or cloud platforms

Prior work with industrial/manufacturing datasets

Qualifications

B.E./B.Tech or M.Sc in Computer Science

Specialization courses in Statistics / Data Science / Applied Mathematics (valuable, not mandatory)

Internship experience in ML/Data/Software roles is mandatory

Personal academic projects without an internship component will not be considered

Live in distant parts of Bangalore with long commutes and don’t plan to relocate

Are based outside Karnataka and aren’t planning to shift close to Basavanagudi
