Backend Developer

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Python Developer with 3–4 years of experience in backend development, API design, and database management. The ideal candidate should have strong Python fundamentals, experience building scalable backend applications, and familiarity with modern development and deployment practices. Experience with FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kubernetes, and GitHub Actions will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

* Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python.

* Build and maintain RESTful APIs using Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.

* Design, optimize, and manage database schemas, queries, and transactions using PostgreSQL.

* Implement caching and performance optimization using Redis.

* Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-documented code.

* Develop unit tests and integration tests to ensure application reliability.

* Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps, and other team members.

* Participate in code reviews, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

* Work with Docker and Kubernetes for containerized application deployment and management.

* Use GitHub Actions to support CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment workflows.

* Follow secure coding practices and contribute to technical documentation.

Requirements

Required Skills

* 3–4 years of professional experience in Python development.

* Strong understanding of Python programming, OOP concepts, data structures, and exception handling.

* Experience developing backend applications and RESTful APIs.

* Good knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.

* Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or another relational database.

* Familiarity with Git, version control, debugging, and automated testing.

* Understanding of application performance, scalability, and security best practices.

Good-to-Have Skills

* Hands-on experience with FastAPI for developing high-performance APIs.

* Experience with Redis for caching, session management, or background task support.

* Familiarity with Kubernetes for deploying and managing containerized applications.

* Experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD automation.

* Knowledge of Docker and containerization.

* Familiarity with asynchronous programming in Python, including asyncio and async/await.

* Experience with SQLAlchemy, Alembic, or other Python ORM and database migration tools.

* Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
