Mandatory Skills: C#.NET, Azure Apps, Microsoft Purview Information Protection (MIP)
Role Description
As a Software Engineer in the Enterprise Applications organization, you will develop, enhance, and support applications that enable Sensitive Information Protection (SIP) for engineering drawings and other business-critical documents. This role is primarily focused on hands-on .NET and C# development for the Phase 2 /Drawings SIP platform. You will help implement and operate file-processing and labeling workflows that interact with Azure Blob Storage, Azure File Shares (AFS), Microsoft Purview Information Protection, and upstream enterprise processes such as SAP and SILK. These integrations support RFQ and labeling processes across the drawings lifecycle. You will work with senior engineers, architects, business stakeholders, security and compliance partners, and application teams to deliver secure, reliable, and supportable solutions.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, test, and support backend applications, services, APIs, and processing components using C#, .NET, Azure Function Apps, and Azure App Services.
- Support Phase 2 / Drawings SIP capabilities for processing, classifying, labeling, protecting, and distributing engineering drawings and related documents.
- Build and maintain file-processing workflows that read, write, transfer, and manage content across Azure Blob Storage, Azure File Shares (AFS), and other approved enterprise repositories.
- Develop and support integrations with Microsoft Purview Information Protection for sensitivity labeling, classification, encryption, and protected-document workflows.
- Implement and support interfaces with SAP and SILK for RFQ and labeling processes, including data exchange, metadata handling, validation, error management, and processing status.
- Develop REST APIs and integration services, and use SQL to support application data, workflow state, operational reporting, and troubleshooting.
- Monitor application health, investigate processing failures, perform root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes for application, integration, storage, and labeling issues.
- Apply secure coding, authentication, authorization, secrets management, data protection, logging, monitoring, and least-privilege practices throughout the development lifecycle.
- Participate in code reviews, unit and integration testing, CI/CD pipelines, Agile ceremonies, release activities, documentation, and production support.
- Work with senior engineers and solution architects to implement established designs and patterns, communicate technical risks, and continuously improve supportability and engineering quality.

- Experience working with Azure Storage services, including Azure Blob Storage and Azure File Shares.
- Experience developing applications or services with the Microsoft Information Protection (MIP) SDK.
- Experience with SharePoint Online, Microsoft Graph, SharePoint APIs, or Microsoft 365 integrations.
- Strong SQL skills, including query development, relational data concepts, troubleshooting, and basic performance optimization.
- Experience integrating applications with upstream or downstream enterprise systems through APIs,
- messaging, file exchange, or service-based architectures.
- Understanding application security, authentication, authorization, secure configuration, API permissions, and secrets management.
- Experience with source control and CI/CD tools such as Git and Azure DevOps.
- Experience working within an Agile software development lifecycle, including estimation, testing,
- deployment, and production support.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, collaboration, and written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Experience integrating with SAP, SILK, or comparable enterprise systems supporting RFQ, engineering, supply-chain, or manufacturing processes.
- Experience supporting applications that manage engineering drawings, technical documents, manufacturing content, or product lifecycle information.
- Experience with Azure Key Vault, Service Bus, managed identities, or certificate-based authentication.
- Experience with Power Automate or Azure-based workflow and orchestration services.
