Job Title: GENAI-Agentic AI Technical Lead (Azure)

Location

We are looking for a hands-on GenAI and Agentic AI Technical Lead with strong development experience across Microsoft Azure AI services, agent frameworks, LLM orchestration, RAG, APIs, and cloud-native engineering. This role focuses on designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting secure, scalable, production-grade GenAI applications. You will lead day-to-day technical delivery, guide developers, enforce engineering best practices, and take ownership across all phases of the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

GenAI & Agentic AI Development

• Lead hands-on development of GenAI and Agentic AI solutions on Azure using:
• Azure OpenAI Service
• Azure AI Foundry
• Azure Agent Service and Agent Runtime
• Microsoft Agent Framework SDK
• LangGraph and comparable agent orchestration frameworks
• Develop agent workflows for planning, reasoning, state management, memory, tool invocation, and human review.
• Build enterprise RAG solutions using:
• Azure AI Search
• Azure AI Search Vector Stores
• Cosmos DB and PostgreSQL with pgvector
• Redis Enterprise on Azure
• Develop secure prompt pipelines, embedding workflows, retrieval logic, tool integrations, and model evaluation components.

Application Engineering & Development

• Develop Python-based microservices using FastAPI or Django and integrate them with Azure AI and enterprise systems.
• Implement development and deployment practices using:
• Azure DevOps pipelines
• GitHub Actions and automated quality checks
• Docker, AKS, Azure Functions, and App Service
• Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics
• Apply coding standards, reusable design patterns, code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and secure coding practices.
• Own requirement understanding, estimation, design, development, testing, deployment, release support, and production issue resolution.
• Content filters & guardrails (Azure OpenAI Safety Systems)
• Security, Reliability & Deployment
• Implement authentication, authorization, managed identities, Key Vault, private endpoints, content safety, and secure service communication.Improve application performance through caching, batching, asynchronous processing, vector index tuning, autoscaling, and resilient error handling.

Support release readiness, deployment validation, production monitoring, incident analysis, root-cause resolution, and preventive actions.

• Optimize AI workloads using model caching, selective batching, adaptive routing, vector index optimization, and autoscaling strategies on AKS/Functions.
• Engineering Best PracticesReview technical designs and code to ensure maintainability, testability, scalability, security, and alignment with program standards.

Create reusable development components for

• Agent workflows and tool integration
• RAG pipelines and context enrichment
• API and microservice implementation
• Logging, tracing, evaluation, and guardrails
• CI/CD, configuration, and environment deployment
• Drive technical spikes and prototypes to validate implementation choices before full-scale development.
• Work with architects, product owners, QA, DevOps, security, data, and integration teams to manage dependencies and delivery risks.

Technical Leadership & Team Enablement

• Guide developers through technical discussions, task breakdown, pair programming, code reviews, debugging, and implementation support.
• Ensure the team follows development standards, branching strategy, testing practices, documentation, and definition of done.
• Prepare technical designs, API specifications, deployment guides, runbooks, and knowledge-transfer material.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field, with 5 to 8 years of software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience developing AI/ML, GenAI, or cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Azure Agent Service, Microsoft Agent Framework, LangGraph
• Azure AI Search, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL/pgvector, AKS, Functions, App Service, APIM, Service Bus
• Strong Python development experience using FastAPI or Django, including asynchronous programming and API development.
• Practical engineering experience in:
• RAG systems, embeddings, vector retrieval, prompt engineering, and model evaluation
• Agent orchestration, state management, memory, tool calling, and workflow implementation
• Unit testing, integration testing, Git, code reviews, CI/CD, containers, deployment, and production support
• Knowledge of security, observability, performance tuning, scalability, reliability, and Azure cost optimization.
• Experience working in Agile delivery teams and leading developers across the complete SDLC.
