Role Description

We are looking for a talented PHP Laravel Developer with strong expertise in PHP and the Laravel framework to join our team. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing scalable web applications and backend systems. The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of experience in PHP and Laravel development, with a strong understanding of MVC architecture, RESTful APIs, databases, and modern web development practices.

You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering secure, scalable, and high-quality solutions.

Your Mission, Your Impact

• Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using PHP and Laravel.
• Build scalable and maintainable backend solutions following Laravel best practices.
• Design and develop RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications.
• Write clean, reusable, well-structured, and maintainable PHP code.
• Work with Laravel features including Eloquent ORM, Blade, Middleware, Authentication, Queues, Events, Jobs, Notifications, and Service Containers.
• Develop and integrate third-party APIs and external services.
• Design, develop, and optimize MySQL databases, queries, relationships, and database structures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks.
• Implement application security best practices including authentication, authorization, validation, and secure API development.
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, UI/UX designers, QA engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders.
• Integrate payment gateways and other third-party services where required.
• Develop and maintain documentation for applications, APIs, and technical processes.
• Use Git for version control and follow established development and deployment practices.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development standards and processes.
• Maintain existing applications and implement new features based on business and client requirements.
• Stay updated with the latest Laravel, PHP, backend development, and web technology trends.

We're Searching for Someone With

• 3+ years of professional experience in PHP and Laravel development.
• Strong proficiency in PHP, Laravel, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Strong understanding of Laravel MVC architecture and application development.
• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and third-party API integrations.
• Strong knowledge of MySQL, database design, queries, relationships, indexing, and optimization.
• Experience with Laravel Eloquent ORM, Blade Templates, Middleware, Authentication, Queues, Jobs, Events, and Notifications.
• Good understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), design patterns, and SOLID principles.
• Experience working with Git and version control systems.
• Understanding of web application security and secure coding practices.
• Experience with payment gateway integrations will be an added advantage.
• Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms is an added advantage.
• Exposure to Docker, CI/CD, or modern deployment practices will be an added advantage.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Good understanding of responsive web application development.
• Good communication skills for effective team collaboration.
