Position Summary

The Manager - Transformations & Innovation leads a team focused on designing and delivering digital HR products, intelligent workflows, and innovation solutions that reduce administrative work and improve the way HR services are delivered. Reporting to the Senior Manager of HR Transformation & Analytics, with dotted-line alignment to the AVP of HR Transformation, this role partners across HR, HRG business teams, technology, operations, analytics, and delivery partners to translate transformation priorities into scalable products and practical workflow improvements.

This role is accountable for value creation, not simply project execution. The manager helps identify high-friction HR processes, define future-state experiences, shape product and automation roadmaps, and guide implementation of AI-enabled tools and digital capabilities that improve speed, quality, consistency, and employee experience. Success requires strong transformation leadership, product orientation, process design discipline, stakeholder management, and the ability to turn ambiguous business needs into measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

Digital Product & Innovation Delivery

  • Lead the design and delivery of HR digital products, workflow solutions, and innovation capabilities that simplify HR work and improve user experience.
  • Partner with HR Transformation leadership to translate strategic priorities into product roadmaps, use cases, delivery plans, success measures, and adoption plans.
  • Guide teams through product discovery, requirements shaping, solution design, implementation support, testing, launch readiness, and post-launch improvement.
  • Ensure digital products are built around clear business problems, defined users, measurable outcomes, and sustainable operating models.

Intelligent Workflow & Process Transformation

  • Assess HR processes to identify administrative burden, manual handoffs, rework, cycle-time delays, control gaps, and opportunities for standardization or automation.
  • Design future-state workflows that combine people, process, technology, automation, analytics, and AI tools in a practical and governed way.
  • Partner with business analysts, product analysts, process engineers, software developers, data teams, and operations leaders to convert workflow designs into implementable solutions.
  • Establish reusable design patterns, intake methods, process maps, decision flows, and documentation standards for transformation initiatives.

AI Tools, Automation & Productivity Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to use AI tools, automation, digital assistants, workflow orchestration, and self-service capabilities to reduce administrative work and improve service delivery.
  • Ensure AI-enabled and automated solutions are human-reviewed, explainable, secure, and aligned to HR data privacy, compliance, and responsible AI expectations.
  • Partner with technology and analytics teams to evaluate, pilot, implement, and scale AI-enabled products that improve HR productivity and decision support.
  • Measure productivity gains, time saved, quality improvements, adoption, and user satisfaction associated with digital and AI-enabled solutions.

Stakeholder Partnership & Change Enablement

  • Partner with HRG business teams, HR centers of excellence, HR operations, technology, analytics, and delivery teams to clarify needs, align priorities, and manage dependencies.
  • Communicate transformation goals, product value, risks, tradeoffs, and decisions clearly to operational leaders and senior stakeholders.
  • Support change readiness through stakeholder engagement, communication input, training support, adoption tracking, and feedback loops.
  • Build trust with partners by balancing innovation with operational feasibility, governance, user experience, and measurable business value.

Team Leadership, Governance & Continuous Improvement

  • Manage, coach, and develop HR Transformation & Innovation Partners or related contributors responsible for discovery, process design, product coordination, documentation, and implementation support.
  • Set expectations for quality, documentation, stakeholder management, delivery discipline, and value realization across assigned transformation work.
  • Maintain portfolio visibility across initiatives, including status, dependencies, risks, issues, outcomes, and benefits realization.
  • Promote a culture of innovation, simplification, responsible experimentation, customer focus, and continuous improvement.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Information Systems, Analytics, Operations, Organizational Development, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Typically 8+ years of experience in HR transformation, digital product delivery, HR operations, HR technology, process improvement, business analysis, product management, or a related environment.
  • Experience leading teams or matrixed contributors through complex transformation, workflow redesign, automation, or digital enablement initiatives.
  • Experience partnering with HR, technology, operations, analytics, and business stakeholders to define requirements, implement solutions, and measure adoption or value realization.
  • Experience using AI tools, automation, digital workflow tools, or analytics-enabled products to improve productivity, service delivery, or user experience.

Must Have Skills

  • Strong HR transformation and product delivery mindset, with the ability to connect business problems to digital products, workflows, and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong process design skills, including current-state assessment, future-state workflow design, business rules, handoffs, controls, and exception paths.
  • Demonstrated ability to reduce administrative work through simplification, automation, self-service, AI-enabled tools, workflow redesign, or digital product adoption.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to align HR, business, technology, analytics, and operations partners in a matrixed environment.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, including the ability to translate complex transformation concepts into clear decisions, plans, and actions.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives, prioritize competing work, track risks and dependencies, and drive follow-through with quality and accountability.
  • Working knowledge of HR systems, workflow tools, analytics products, AI tools, and digital enablement approaches sufficient to guide product and process decisions.

Nice To Have Skills

  • Experience implementing or supporting ERP, HRIS, or enterprise workflow products such as Workday, Oracle, SAP SuccessFactors, PeopleSoft, ServiceNow, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with product management, agile delivery, design thinking, Lean/Six Sigma, human-centered design, or transformation operating models.
  • Experience in healthcare, shared services, global capability centers, or highly regulated environments.
  • Experience with AI-enabled productivity tools, digital assistants, process mining, robotic process automation, workflow orchestration, or self-service portals.
  • Certifications in project management, agile, product management, process improvement, change management, HR technology, or related disciplines.

  • Builds trust across HR, business, technology, analytics, and operations partners while navigating ambiguity and competing priorities.
