About Us
SCRY AI is an innovative AI-driven technology company focused on building intelligent, scalable, and high-performance solutions. We work with modern technologies across Software Engineering, AI/ML, and Data to solve real-world business problems and deliver impactful digital products.
Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer with strong expertise in Python, networking, telephony, and scalable application development. The ideal candidate should be hands-on with backend development, API integration, distributed systems, real-time communication, and production deployments, with experience building reliable and high-performance applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend applications using Python.
- Build robust REST APIs, microservices, and asynchronous services using FastAPI/Flask and related technologies.
- Design applications capable of handling high concurrency, traffic, and real-time workloads.
- Work extensively with TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, WebSockets, DNS, SSL/TLS, proxies, load balancing, firewalls, and network troubleshooting.
- Develop and integrate telephony and communication systems, including SIP, RTP, WebRTC, IVR, VoIP, SIP Trunking, and PBX.
- Integrate backend applications with telephony providers, SIP gateways, call-routing systems, and third-party APIs.
- Build and troubleshoot real-time communication pipelines, addressing latency, connectivity, packet loss, and call-quality issues.
- Design scalable architectures using load balancing, caching, queues, distributed services, and horizontal scaling.
- Work with Redis, Kafka/RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and similar data or messaging systems.
- Containerize applications using Docker and support deployments across cloud and on-premise environments.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, health checks, and performance observability for production systems.
- Troubleshoot production issues related to performance, networking, concurrency, reliability, and scalability, while following Git, testing, CI/CD, code review, and documentation practices.
Key Qualifications
- 3+ years of software engineering experience with strong hands-on expertise in Python and backend development.
- Strong experience with FastAPI/Flask, asyncio, multithreading/multiprocessing, REST APIs, and microservices.
- Strong understanding of networking and distributed systems, including TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, WebSockets, DNS, SSL/TLS, proxies, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Hands-on experience with telephony/VoIP technologies, including SIP, RTP, WebRTC, IVR, SIP Trunking, and PBX.
- Experience integrating telephony systems, communication platforms, and third-party APIs with backend applications.
- Strong understanding of concurrency, scalability, fault tolerance, high availability, and performance optimization.
- Experience with PostgreSQL/SQL, MongoDB, Redis, and messaging/queueing systems.
- Strong experience with Linux, Docker, Git, testing, debugging, and CI/CD.
- Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms; Kubernetes and observability are a plus.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and ownership skills.
Good to Have
- Experience with Kubernetes, distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, and production observability.
- Exposure to SIP proxies, media servers, WebRTC infrastructure, telephony platforms, or real-time communication frameworks.
- Experience with AI/ML, Voice AI, ASR/TTS, conversational AI, or integrating AI services into real-time communication systems.
