Java Developer with Springboot and Restb API
Team Brief: This is an exciting opportunity for you to work with great colleagues in a collaborative
environment that is constantly evolving. As a highly motivated and experienced Java Developer, you
will join our DevOps Account team, which supports front office trading systems in our Equity
Derivatives business at Macquarie. These platforms provide support to our global trading desks
across Sydney, Asia, Europe and the US.

What role will you play?
In this role, you'll collaborate with stakeholders and analysts to define requirements and work with
the team on coding and testing. You will also participate in production deployment and upgrade
tasks. Production support is a key learning component of the role, enabling you to engage directly
with users of the system and continually improve the stability of the production environment.
You will deliver platform enhancements that follow industry best practices, including effective and
responsible use of AI tools. Additionally, you will build relationships with both technical and non-
technical stakeholders, become a subject matter expert for third-level queries and problem-solving,
and ensure that quality standards and a high level of professionalism are always maintained.
What you offer
Hands-on experience minimum of 6 to 9 years in Java full stack development
Extensive experience building low latency trading systems
Experience in financial markets domains, specifically equities trading and DMA
Strong experience with message-based business integration, e.g. FIX protocol
Experience with Equity Finance and swaps products is beneficial
