Back End Developer

We are looking for a strong Node.js Developer who enjoys solving real-world problems, understands business requirements, and can build reliable and scalable backend applications.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to work in a fast-moving environment, take ownership of features, and contribute directly to product and technology decisions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js.
• Build secure and high-performance REST APIs and microservices.
• Understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Design efficient database schemas, relationships, queries, and indexes using PostgreSQL/MySQL.
• Integrate applications with internal services and external/third-party APIs.
• Implement proper validation, exception handling, logging, and API error handling.
• Troubleshoot production and non-production issues using structured debugging and root-cause analysis.
• Write clean, modular, reusable, and maintainable code.
• Participate in code reviews and follow engineering standards and best practices.
• Containerize and deploy applications using Docker and work with Kubernetes environments. Work with Git-based development workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate closely with product, frontend, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams.
• Contribute to application performance, scalability, security, and reliability improvements.
• Take ownership of assigned modules/features from requirement understanding through deployment.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and JavaScript.
• Good experience building RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of asynchronous programming, Promises, async/await, and event-driven architecture.
• Good understanding of backend application architecture and API design principles.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL and/or MySQL.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and external systems.
• Working knowledge of Docker.
• Exposure to Kubernetes and container-based deployments.
• Good understanding of Git, branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
• Basic working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure
• Understanding of API security, authentication, authorization, and secure coding practices.
