Role Description The Technical Lead – Generative AI and Python Backend Developer is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend services in Python, with a strong focus on integrating and operationalizing generative AI models and related services. Day-to-day tasks include architecting APIs, optimizing data flows, ensuring system performance and reliability, and guiding the implementation of AI-powered features in collaboration with product and design teams. The Technical Lead will mentor developers, conduct code reviews, define best practices, and coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver robust, secure, and scalable solutions. The role also involves evaluating new AI technologies, contributing to technical roadmaps, and supporting deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting in production environments.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Python backend development, including experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, and frameworks such as Django or Flask.
• Hands-on experience with generative AI (e.g., LLMs, transformer-based models), model integration via APIs, and working with major AI/ML platforms or cloud AI services.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, distributed systems, and performance optimization for high-traffic applications.
• Experience with modern DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and monitoring/logging tools.
• Familiarity with data engineering concepts, including data pipelines, storage systems (SQL/NoSQL), and secure handling of structured and unstructured data.
• Proficiency in version control (Git), code review processes, and collaborative workflows within agile or Scrum-based teams.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects, mentor developers, and communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience working in a product or consulting environment, with a focus on scalable enterprise solutions, is highly beneficial.
